Trinidad and Tobago U21 international Lester Peltier, who has already spent time on loan at Cardiff City and Millwall, has been on trial at Arsenal today and yesterday, with the Academy. He currently plays for San Juan Jabloteh

"He was due to go back to Trinidad on Saturday, but Cardiff want a closer look at him next week and the club have consented to that. Arsenal may have other views.
"He wants to earn a contract in England. That's the plan. He's been at Millwall for two weeks. Then Cardiff expressed an interest.
"I think it's every footballers' dream in Trinidad to follow in the footsteps of Dwight Yorke and Carlos Edwards.
"We're now waiting to hear from Arsenal. I know Cardiff are interested in offering a contract."

Peltier impresses Arsenal, Cardiff

T+T striker Lester Peltier spent four days on trial at Premiership giants Arsenal and brushed shoulders with ace French striker Thierry Henry and Dutchman Robin Van Persie.
And he has impressed Arsenal youth director Liam Brady who told his CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh coach Terry Fenwick he will keep his eyes on the youngster.
But the 19-year-old Jabloteh player is now back at Championship Division team Cardiff City and made his first appearance for that team on Monday, in a reserve league match against Hereford.
According to reports Peltier did sufficiently well in the first half before picking up a knock and was substituted by coaches who said they had seen enough of him to continue negotiations for a possible move to Cardiff who won the match 2-1.
“He played on Monday and did enough for the coaches before they took him off at half time. They are delighted with what they have seen and have opened up talks on a deal,” Fenwick said.
“But he spent three days at Arsenal and Liam is delighted with his movement off the ball. He brushed shoulders with a lot of the first team guys even as he trained in their academy.
“There was a nice touch to it as well when Thierry Henry made sure to tell him that he should be sure and sign with Arsenal because they are one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“We want to ensure that we do a deal that is best for the kid and that he is well taken care of. It’s a very interesting situation at the moment.”
Fenwick added that talks were ongoing with Cardiff, Milwall and Arsenal in that whichever club the player ends up at will form a partnership with Jabloteh.
“This by extension will be a great boost for football in Trinidad and Tobago. This is what the club is about. We have thought long and hard about football in this country and the benefits and we have decided to go the way of developing the younger players and trying to boost the country’s football,” Fenwick said.

Peltier gone for now, but he may well return
The Bluebirds (Cardiff) have shelved plans to sign pacey midfield player Lester Peltier from Trinidad and Tobago.
Peltier, aged 18 and from San Juan Tabloteh FC in the T&T ProLeague, played in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Hereford.
But, after only three minutes and seconds after Dave Jones had taken his seat, Peltier suffered a shin injury.
It was shocking timing. City have been impressed with the youngster, who could be quicker than any player at Ninian Park.
Now he faces the possibility of an operation, but should be back for the start of the season in Trinidad during June.
Don't be surprised if Peltier does return, though. He really was impressive. Arsenal, Portsmouth and Millwall have shown strong interest, but his agent, Paul Mohamed, is based in Cardiff and is a strong Bluebirds fan.
Looks like he won't be signing for a while, if at all. Out until June-ish through injury. Must be gutting for him, impressing all these clubs and then getting an injury that stops you from playing for months.
