To me, he has always looked more natural in the position he plays for Ukraine. His close control, ability to play on the half turn, and ability to pick through balls makes him a better candidate for LCM position.Im not sure where he'll start either. I always thought he was a bit meh. However, the only thing I'm going to say, is if his performance in midfield for Ukraine vs Scotland is typical for his performance for them in that position, he will be a very good option in midfield, as he bossed us that day in our own ground and decent premier league midfielders like John Mcginn were left chasing shadows.
Was one of those performances that make you say wow, I get it now.
As a fullback defensively he is not the best. I think if we do play with an inverted full back, his defensive frailties can be masked to some extent though. Tavares is worse defensively but did quite well for us for long period of time last season. Either ways, it would be intriguing to see where he plays for us.
