All you have to do is sit down and watch a full match from the early 2000s and it's so obvious. Everyone is slower on average, attackers are taking insane risks left and right and losing the ball in awful positions, defenders are allowed to practically maul players, the pitches are ****, so many players who literally cannot use their weak foot, defenders look like spastic hamsters trying to play football etc.

I find it more enjoyable to watch because it was more chaotic, but you'd have to be on something to watch 90 minutes of that **** and think "these lads are superior footballers" Obviously you still had brilliant players sprinkled throughout that would easily hang in today's game but your average mid-table player was barely Championship quality in terms of technical ability.

100% - The gulf in quality becomes immediately evident when you rewatch old matches. Defences were largely disorganised and the concept of double teaming was alien. Teams didn't park the bus or implement organised pressing.

The pace of the game was slower and most teams could barely string passing sequences together. It was way more chaotic and less skilled and athletic. The main reason why there were more stars back then is because there was less team cohesion and more reliance on individual quality.

Reece james still gaddit.

For a guy who gets ridiculed Jackson has a decent amount of goals. Should have been way more.

Are Chelsea chasing something in the table? Why did they celebrate like that?

Probably get ridiculous bonuses for being in Europe knowing the way their owners operate.
Ah. I had to quickly check the table as I thought I may have missed something (like a mathematical possibility for top 4)

With Chelsea winning this, United's season is officially over. Think we'll smash them tomorrow
