Premier League Prediction Game.

Select one team to win from the Premier League fixtures (if you can't post, PM me your entry).
If they win or draw, you are through to the next round. If they lose, you are eliminated.
You cannot pick the same team twice unless you have already picked every team.
You can pick as many weeks in advance as you like.

If your pick has their game postponed, you will be automatically assigned the highest ranked team from the previous season. This will not count as an autopick.

Ok, this sounds interesting.

Arsenal to win vs. Nottingham Forrest

Maybe it's better to have a Superbru-like predictor type, where you predict the results and then you're scored accordingly for exact, close or right score.

Okay.

Let's say correct score is 5 points.
Predicting the correct result is 3

At the end of the season. The person with the highest score is ajudged the winner.

Sounds good?

Here is in a simple example.

1. If the final result on Sunday is Arsenal - Nott Forest 3-1. Take note of the 2 goal difference

Then here is how I suggest the scoring

Predictions:
Exact score as predicted: 3-1 = 4 points
Same GD score: 2-0, 4-2, 5-3 or any score with 2 goal difference (same as the real result) = 2 points
Any other same team score (1-0, 2-1, 3-2, 4-1,= 1 point

Draw = 0 points

Loss (or opposite winner than predicted ) = 0 points

Same would apply if you predicted a win for the away team and the away team indeed wins the game

+++++++

2. Final result: A draw, e.g. 2-2, then

Exact score prediction 2-2 = 4 points
Same GD score, i.e. all other sorts of draws: 0-0, 1-1, 3-3 etc = 2 points

All other predicted results: home win or loss = 0 points

My reaction to this thread, until seeing the word "Superbru" used in here...

Arsenal Quotes

I want a fan to wake up in the morning and say, “Arsenal are playing today, I’m going to have a good time.” That guy starts his day off by thinking that something good is going to happen to him. And to do that, big clubs like Arsenal have to have the ambition to play spectacularly. Of shared happiness.
