I'd have to give it some thought, will likely be too much Arsenal bias as I have watched them more than any other team by far.

Terry over Rio?

Yeah, that was in the back of my mind but for me the choice was between Rio and Nesta rather than Rio and Terry, as both are similar types of center backs in terms of being athletic and physical presences, with excellent ball skills, vision and passing ability, I'm afraid Nesta wins that debate for me as much as I love Rio.

Terry for me is the perfect partner to offer balance as he'd be the one who'd sit a bit more deep and would vocally control the game.

Although it's not the best 11 players I've ever seen, seen as I've criticised Wenger on here constantly for shoe-horning players in I thought I'd better pick the team with best balance, for example I spent far too long debating over Kaka and Zidane. Went with Kaka because I like him as a goal threat as well as creatively.

Vieira and Xabi are great balanced midfielders who won't leave the defence exposed but can score goals and dictate play as well. Messi and Henry could swap positions and leave defenders clueless on who to mark. Giggs would be a Ljungberg-esque workhorse and lethal on the counter.

That team has no weaknesses at all, not too many alpha-dogs all looking to get theirs. Only Henry and Messi would demand most of the shots, with Lahm as captain you'd have a high character guy and Arsène reading the paper in the managers chair.

If you're chasing the game late, throw on Owen, Beckham and Ronaldo and go all out.

I always have problems with these 11.
Way to many strikers to choose from, and whoever I leave, Its just wrong...

I made myself a promise long time ago, whatever happens, Henry-Bergkamp would always be in there.
I could put Messi as winger then, but cant leave out the real, one one only, Ronaldo.

So if it is ok to have all 4 of them in a team; ok

Just realized how 'italian' that back 4 is

Someone said he is surprised many leftout Cristiano. I have the same feeling everytime (and saw it way to many times) people do the same to Great Javier Zanetti

This but with Schmeichel for Buffon and Roberto Carlos for Cole. Carlos has to be the best left back ever simply amazing engine on him and incredibly powerful tree trunks for legs. He was good defensively as well definitely a level above Cole for me.

For me this team can do everything you could possibly want. Obviously it's very attacking but with Paddy and that back 5 I don't see them conceding too many. I don't think there are too many teams that could cope with that front 4 plus Zidane, Carlos and Cafu joining the attack.
