Always knew Partey was going to happen. We won’t make another major signing, don’t be greedy. This is because we weren’t able to sell the players we wanted to in order to raise cash.

I’ve a good handle on club finances. £150m war chest was available due to Kroenke restructuring the debt arrangements. But due to Covid and the club losing money (high wages and all) the club are only able to make about £50m available for transfers. That’s Partey money.

Tbf you said we have cash to buy Ceballos & Partey. We loaned Ceballos and looks like cannot afford Aouar.

Loaning Ceballos is just as good. I didn’t say (or was never confident) we would buy Aouar. Always knew we’d go for Partey because he was always on the cards due to the RC.

I did however think we’d be able to sell players. I was wrong on that but Edu did try.
