Nothing wrong with Lokonga playing 6-8 EL matches, half a dozen CC and FA cup matches and getting 15-20 minutes here and there. Liverpool have Elliott and Jones who are young. They don't send them on loan this season because they know they need depth and numbers.
Yes I was saying before the injuries. I think a loan would help him like it did with Saliba.

Great. Another soon to be deadwood signing that we won't be able to offload in the next 2 years, when he's catching roots on the bench.

This could have been avoided if we would have gotten a player a month ago.
Maybe with Partey, Xhaka, Elneny, Lokonga full fit with Zinchenko as an option we were waiting for something to develop in the window. Or waiting for an opportunity that was complicated.

Now 3 of those players are injured, which you couldn't foresee (apart from Partey) all of a sudden things have gotten desperate.

Similar to what is happening at Liverpool. Half their midfield is injured so they've went for Melo. They didn't want him 6 weeks ago. But needs must. Doss that make Klopp a terrible coach and the club a shambles? No.

City are signing the Dortmund CB because Ake and Laporte have suffered injuries. Why didn't they do it 4 weeks ago? Because maybe they didn't think they needed to but things have changed.

Sometimes the cards don't fall your way and you have to do something you maybe didn't plan to do or particularly wanted to do. It happens in everyday life too.

Letting Pepe go is looking stranger and stranger... Chances of a last minute winger madness still alive?

Or is Vieira cover for Saka?
