defending is a team game, you dont need talent there(atleast talent by itself isnt enough), a unit of 4 avergae defenders work better than 4 talented individuals.
There are many quality CB in europe who can fit in well in our back 4.

If I was him id ask Rafa about potential Centre backs. I want us to get Skrtel or and Agger type both 23. Theres a young Austrian defender that did well in the euros, Prodl, 20 and you got Mertesacker, 23 who on his website said he admires Arsenal. Lets not forget wheater whos only 20 or Huth,23

Mertesacker is a long streak of piss, he's incredibly slow ( slower than Senderass ) and can be had by any decent striker, the likes of Torres, Agbonlahor, Drogba etc would murder him as they do Phil.

Senderos is better than him..

I don't usually agree with anything you say, but I do agree with you on this. Mertesacker is very slow and clumsy, and not better then Blunderos.

Chiellini has always had that potential, very intelligent yet Hard bodied defender. When there was rumours of a swap for him and Senderos the last year or so I was all up for it. Juve wouldnt sell now
