Agreed - hard to rate Arshavin though, average game but scored the vital goal.

While the individuals were pretty good today, I don't think the team 'clicked' as well as they might have two weeks ago. ****ing internationals.

Mannone 6 - at fault for their first goal, but saved near the end that could have seen Brum draw level

Eboue 7 - decent
Gallas 7 - Solid overall
Vermaelen 7 - see Gallas
Gibbs 7 - was decent, as other mentioned, suspect positionally at times, but good on the ball and ecent 1 on 1

Song 7.5 - good overall.. broke up a lot, and great ball for RvP's goal
Fabregas 7 - decent game.. not at his best, but was still involved
Diaby 7 - one of his better games

Walcott 6 - was OK in his first start.. hope not a big injury
Rosicky 7 - played well.. just having him on the pitch makes us look better
RvP 7.5 - good goal, but had other chances that he f*ed around on the ball too much

Arshavin 6.5 - not a good game, but scored a good goal.. im OK with that
Sagna 5.5 - a few bad giveaways and not great balls into the box
Wilshere N/A - only 4 minutes.. nothing to judge

Diaby - 8 Great.

Walcott - N/A
Rosicky - 7
van Persie - 7

Arshavin - 6

I thought Diaby and Song were our best players today, along with Van Persie. Gibbs on the other hand was quite average in my opinion. Same goes for Arshavin.

This, I agree with.

Wouldn't be all that critical on Gibbs, though. I thought he was decent. Nothing special, but decent.

I agree except would give diaby 7.5 and Gibbs 6.5. Forgot about Cescs grandma. Good performance all round and I thought RVP was majestic.

Yeah, I'll go with that - I was particularly impressed with the way van Persie rolled off defenders today, pushed them back and stood his ground. Plus his over head kicks were great.

Totally agree. I forgot about Cesc's situation as well. He did get stuck in even though some passes didn't come off for him. RvP and Song were both brilliant. Van Persie hardly put a foot wrong, and is moving fluently all of the sudden. He's still world champion when it comes to making "good" finishes that doesn't go in though..

Don't you get him started!

Was I the only one who thought Sagna brought well-needed stability when he came on? We stopped shaking like a leaf and could focus on attacking Birmingham instead. I get the feeling that people don't truly appreciate him anymore just because he doesn't pop up with an assist every other game.

I don't know... I seem to remember him gifting Birmingham a golden chance at 2-1, one of their players lofted it out to the left, and Sagna was nowhere near him. It might have been the chance that led to Vito's great save, but I'm not sure.

Sagna was marking one of their players and Eboue failed to track the spare man iirc.

That's my recollection of it as well. I thought it illustrated my point well.

Ah, is that how it happened? I don't remember it very well; I'll have to see it again on the highlights.

Seeing as Klaus agrees, I'll have to retract my comment, and apologize to Sagna.
