Re: Franck Ribery - 22m

Promising career ruined by injuries, arrogance and some ridiculous off-field decisions. Would have said absolutely yes three years ago, but today, even if this is slightly true, that 22m could be better spent elsewhere.

Nasri?Arshavin for Ribery. This can happen guys lets just keep the faith.

bs rumour and one which doesn't appeal. Mata would be such a better coup for around 20 m.

We should have signed him in 2006, but to be honest he has regressed since then. And the hilarious part is he will cost twice as much as he would have 5 years ago and be on astronomical wages.

Thanks, but no thanks. Even young Ryo will be better than him next season, and he's 18.

Exactly, and whilst there is ANY chance that Ryo will get a work permit we'll not be signing ANYONE that would kill his playing opportunities to develop.

He's got injured again in training apparently, so injury prone it's unreal.

Arsenal Quotes

In June 1996, David Dein, Peter Hill-Wood and Danny Fiszman came out to Nagoya to meet me on behalf of Arsenal. Within an hour we came to an agreement. The Japanese directors didn't try to keep hold of me in the usual way but talked with persuasive arguments... But as far as I was concerned, the decision was taken. Arsenal. A decision that would change my life.
