We were heavily linked and got bids refused same time last season. In terms of the position, we are still looking at filling it. Aouar is available and probably at a lower price because of his deal ( 2 years ) and the current financial position of Lyon. There is a need to sell to buy and balance the books. So the player is on the market and we are aware of Juninho and Edu's close relationship and contacts same time last season. It is likely we are monitoring the situation and there is no reason why we should not be considering him as one of the potentials on our list of targets for same position.
Le 10 came out with an exclusive about an offer , with Lyon demanding more. No one from the player side , Arsenal or Lyon have officially refuted this claim. This exclusive is based on a source as per every other story with transfers. The usual suspects at the Athletic etc ( Arsenal Side ) who also rely on their sources have said they have not heard anything about it. Does that mean the story is BS ? These same usual suspects with all their Arsenal club insider proximity were blank on the Partey deal. So they dont know everything. There is no reason to deny Le 10 also has their ( Lyon side or player Camp insider) for the Aouar story.
This is what I do not seem to comprehend about this transfer forum sometimes. Can anyone tell me why the report of an Arsenal and Tottenham interest in a player is bullshit? Should Sp**s not be interested in a player because he has been linked to Arsenal? We have battled with them on players before and won some and lost some.
Until there are clear reports totally dismissing this etc on what basis do we call them bullshit? Unlike last season , Lyon is happy to let him go and other clubs must be interested too. We are not privy to the deal , agent conversations etc yet we are quick to dismiss exclusives with innuendos.

Not sure what could be the equivalent in the UK, but just for the record le10Sport is utter garbage. Aouar to Arsenal may or may not happen. The player is definitely expandable since he is surplus right now for Lyon and bankable as well, but this particular source is simply not reliable.
