Their squad depth sucks and they’ve been fortunate with a lack of injuries. Think they will fall off this year. Their style of play became very predictable and they were unbelievably fortunate in the Prem for large stretches last year. Can’t stand their deluded fan base. Even in the States they are delusional.

Always got a feing they are even more delusional away from UK. Sometimes it's borderline insanity.

Probably due to the media and pundits in general setting a behavioral pattern to the global fanbase.

You'll find the same here, with an inferiority complex lurking all the time due to media making laughing stock out of our coach, players, deals, results over the years...

Thanks heavens they didn't win the league. All the glory hunters from the 80s would have come out in droves.

their latest signing...

Loool joker, I'd love him at Arsenal.

They ain't coming close to City this season, last year was a one off they threw everything at but I don't see them reaching 90+ points again. While City are gonna win the League for the next 10 years straight anyway since the Arab money is too much they've been spending big for over 10 years and never have to sell any of their best players.

Who gives a toss about selling players and taking risks? Point still stands that both clubs have foreign owners who’ve pumped them with cash.

City might sell Sane and Mendy this summer for more than 100M? But so what?

It clearly matters thought doesn't it? Saying selling doesn't matter is a very convenient excuse when trying to make a point - when the point is wrong. The owners of Manchester City are on a different level all together to Liverpools (and Arsenals). So of course it matters. People can dismiss 'net spend' as much as they want, but it's hugely important to how clubs are run. Liverpool's owners don't pump in their vast amounts of their own cash when it comes to transfers, that much is clear. There is no comparison there to City.

Liverpool had one summer of heavy spending (backed up by the £140 million sale of Coutinho), but otherwise they had spent more modestly than the likes of Everton in the preceding 2 summers since Klopp was there. And the comments this summer from Klopp about them not being in a position to spend like last summer would very much suggest they haren't having money pumped into the transfer budget in vast amounts. Not to say their owners are stingy, they seem to be using money for other things too, like new stands and a new training complex, and new contracts.

I guess their fans though expected lots more spending this summer, and are now crying loudly about the lack if it, being as they don't seem to grasp that clubs not called Manchester City, have to use their money more judiciously, not just on expensive new players.

Pretty surprising they haven't signed any attackers to push their front 3 and maybe a playmaker. They could definitely do with both and a probably another CB.

Dude, what a crazy story Divock Origi is, how does someone go from being the worst striker in Ligue 1 to playing a big part in winning the CL.

Rumours going around that Allison will be out for 6 months with an achilles injury.

Really don’t know why people make such premature judgements. A rumor comes out on Twitter, and suddenly everybody believes he is out for the season.
He will probably be back after the international break

Liverpool fans finally stopped talking about how amazing Ox. The most overrated players ever, I remember when he was here people would hype every average performance of his just because they liked his personality.

Poor player with great physical attributes (fast & strong), he'll never be a first 11 player for Liverpool or England. The bench is the highest he can reach.

What? He's still doing a fantastic job. You make zero points towards his post with your post. What are you trying to say?
What I'm trying to say it's that this is Arsenal forum not a place for Liverpool fans to drool over their team. Especially while their aforementioned domestic form yielded absolutely nothing so far despite spending over 300M pounds last two years. We won more than them during Klopp's tenure ffs.
