No it’s not irrelevant. All teams go in cycles, up and down spikes depending on different coaching abilities and transfer dealings. Liverpool are in a spike above the norm at the moment, but Klopp will leave and someone will come in who’s not as good and they’ll regress again. The constant is how much the owners are spending and that’s what will determine’s Liverpool’s finishing position long term, they will swing around that over the years.
It’s because most fans can’t see the difference between long term trends and short term trends. God help them if they were playing the Stock Market.
Shelby’s were real, don’t know if you visited Birmingham on your trip over.I'm trying to pull a Tommy Shelby here in Bangladesh. Problem is its the chain smoking that's enduring more than the other stuff.
You’ve hit the nail on the head though. Liverpool and Arsenal fans spending 4th and 5th don’t understand how football works if they think not winning the league is failure. The winners of the EPL have nearly always come from the top 3 spending clubs. They’ve got to really over performing for it to occur, that’s why Pool have only won once in 30 years. If they want to win more regularly they need new owners, or wait for another combination of Klopp and Edwards . . but that could take many years again. What you are talking about is irrelevant because finishing position long term is not called success for clubs like United and Liverpool.
Of course United & Liverpool will finish above Southampton & Fulham most of the years because their spending are far superior but they have different project every time they start their rebuilding job. The project is to win major trophies like EPL and CL. When the project finish and they still don't win trophies then it's failure.
When teams like United & Liverpool start rebuilding or when they hire new manager, that's where the new project starts and that's where the manager will be given certain period and reasonable or acceptable money to complete the project, and that's where clubs like United & Liverpool need to spend wisely on the right ones. Completely different to stock market.
I did. Met a Ginger prince who saved me after getting lost.Shelby’s were real, don’t know if you visited Birmingham on your trip over.

Well if that’s the case how come Liverpool have only won the title once in 30 years? Are you trying to say that it’s only because the other 9 managers were all sh!t at spending and coaching. And Chelsea have won 5 times in the last 16 years because all their managers were great at utilising the money. It makes no sense, think about it.It's not about how much you spent, it's about how you spent the money. Spend the money wisely and have proper structure for the club, you don't need to wait for 30 years. Money is needed but you don't need to be like City or Chelsea spenders in order to win major trophies.
It's unbelievable how many videos there are of Vidic looking like a clown, rich mans Mustafi carried by Rio.
Would say we’re the most harshly treated club in PL history due to our foreign invasion, challenge to Utd and everything that goes with that.
Not at all. Anyone who watched football in those days suspected as much. Having it confirmed is a relief in a way.Anyone hear Mark Clattenburg in the last few days, said refs used to favour Yanited under Ferguson...it's terrible, but not not really that shocking tbf

They are right though, Arteta has turned Arsenal into the posh West Ham.Red cafe is hilarious. There is a thread debating if Leicester have replaced us as a top team.
It's hilarious because United since 2013 have barely managed to finish in the top 4 spots at all either and at times didn't even finish above us.
Absolutely the most deluded and pathetic fanbase. Despise them the most in the league by a mile.

Tbf tho Leicester is a way better run team, they sell players for big frees like Mahrez, Cantwell, Maguire and buy quality they can sell for big money in the future like Tielemens.
We waste our time buying bums like Sokratis and Torreira, never be able to sell them cos they’re useless and then cry for the guy who brought them to return for some reason.
