The lads believe they can win games like these now and that will be key. No De Bruyne is a huge plus for us. He tends to have blinders against us and his likely deputy (Bernardo Silva) hasn’t quite captured the form of two seasons ago either.

Like that Partey wasn’t all smiles in the pictures. Hope he will bring some needed seriousness and edge to our team. A don’t **** with me mother****er attitude. We need some of that. Think though he is young Tierney has that. Gabriel seems to have some of that too. Maybe I am just dreaming but one can hope.

Also, Partey and Pepe both have to start. It doesn’t matter if Partey has had one/two training sessions or Pepe is too inconsistent, for what we paid for both they have to be thrown in and be the difference makers in these sort of games.

AMN and Thomas Partey either side of Xhaka when we’re overloading the midfield is going to be fantastic.
I think their athleticism is going to hide how poor Xhaka is off the ball. Got a feeling we’ll overpower that City midfield if we go with AMN, Xhaka and Partey.
