Almunia - 7 thought he actually collected well, martialled his area, and wasn't really at fault for the goal...keystone cops defending there...

Sagna - 6 not much to do, but did it well, a couple of shaky moments outweighed by a bunch of good clearances and headers.

Touré - 7 classy bastard. good game, used his speed well.

Gallas - 7 strong, our captain. not a flawless, but solid.

Clichy - 6 ok up and down the flanks, covered the corner well, some of his decisions in the offensive half suspect.

Eboue - 6 a mashup, looked good with the ball at his feet at times, gave it straight away others. not very much interplay with sagna, or not as much as the opportunity suggested. decent header away, but probably should have let it slide through and out.

Flamini - 8 solid, no nonsense, great presence on the goal. worked well covering the back four, for what was needed (very little, actually).

Cesc - 8 seemed a bit ponderous at times, but his passing as usual was well up to snuff. directed the team well.

Rosicky - 7 is he taking over from flamster as the headless chicken? great pass to ade for the disallowed goal, and some good movement, though. could have done better on a couple of shots.

Hleb - 9 motm, great goal, great passing, great dribbling ("one of the best dribblers in the world" - Setanta commentator), got stuck in, well worth his 75 minutes.

Adebayor - 7 horrible first touch, again and again. tired of the backpass fired back at the passer. HOWEVER, gave them fits, and if he learns to defeat the offside trap he'll score 30 for us. sweet-as-you-like goal, and the disallowed...

Diarra - tidy little terrier, not on long enough to rate. love the way he plays and keeps at it when trying to get or keep the ball, our future dm.

Bendtner - not long enough to rate. nice knockdown for walcott, some nice touches, decent movement.

Walcott - not long enough to rate, though he's lucky for that. horrible ball control, and should have tested the keeper rather than skied it over. looked all over the place out there. ugh.

I know some of you will wind me up and put the ratings in a different order, but if you;d be so kind, just copy/paste them in this order and then give your ratings

I'm lazy so I do that anyway.

Arsenal Quotes

This is a big moment of happiness...we waited a long time for this and the happiness is linked sometimes with the suffering, and the time that you have to wait....this was more important than all the other (trophies) we have twice won the double, but were not under pressure then like we were today.

Arsène Wenger, on winning the 2014 FA Cup
