Passing and personality. He is much better on the left side of a 3, but has major weaknesses in his game.
Lack of speed.
Lack of power.
Lack of strength.
Too long in possession.
Defensive positioning.
Aerial ability
Ego
Coaching can fix four of those things, but you could probably find a young player who has all of them.

This is a weird photo, she has a look where she could be his girlfriend or his mum, Guen looks between the ages of 14-17 also and very awkward.

Coming off the bench for some tired legs it's a much more useful role for him at the moment. My only worry though is he goes walkies which means someone has to fill the space he leaves and at that point no one has the legs for that.

Hope Arteta can work on his obvious deficiencies, he's been performing very poorly this season. Don't want to see him anywhere near the first XI for a while.

Yeah I worry because he's never going to be fast, strong or dominant in the air. He's not going to become a dribbler and probably won't be someone who adds goal threat either.
This means the only way for him to develop is to get smarter and smarter and that is something that is a lot harder to call. Some players just have it, some don't.
