Could we play Özil in the Pirlo position instead of in a more attacking role? He could dictate play. Pirlo managed to play on like that till 36 or something, Özil is only 31.
Özil is spot on. Seems the whole world, not just the Muslim world, has forgotten or chosen to ignore what’s happening to the Uighur people.
Can't mess with that chinese money. 'classenal'
Arsenal obviously have to protect their own interests, otherwise there is no end to such stuff.
.
It’s obvious because it’s it’s the right and proper thing to do.It’s obvious as **** why they did it, but I can’t even begin to say how disappointed and disgusted I am by this club atm..

Credit to Özil, again. Sure he’ll get stick for this like he gets stick for everything else.

Nobody seriously expects the club to bother giving their tuppence worth on the plight of the Uighurs, do they?
Özil... well, what can you say? Consistency never was his bag, was it?

That might be too much to ask, but I don't think it's too much to ask for them to say nothing. Doing what they did IS a political stance, moreso than just staying the F out of Özil's business.Nobody seriously expects the club to bother giving their tuppence worth on the plight of the Uighurs, do they?

Exactly. I can't wait for our next 'no to racism' campaign :That might be too much to ask, but I don't think it's too much to ask for them to say nothing. Doing what they did IS a political stance, moreso than just staying the F out of Özil's business.
But why not? It's one of the things that's ****ing wrong right now, everybody from individuals to especially companies and countries "trying to protect their assets" and brand value, denying their social impact, influence and reich while completely forgetting about humanistic and moral values, and it's wrong on every end of the spectrum.
Özil and Bellerin are two people who use their social media presence for some kind of good.think he'll go into turkish politics when he's done ala shevchenko.
