Mikel Arteta: Managerial Royalty

Well, look across football. There aren't many coaches who adopt original game models. So many of them are copying and idolising Pep.

Coach education is really poor right now, particularly in England
Imitation of the elite is as old as the sun, and happens in every field. No one in their right mind is going to reinvent the wheel, unless they are a managerial genius who will then rise to the top, and everyone will then just copy him.

Good god, what a bunch of whining moaners.

We're going to finish 1 point off the Invincibles total and 1 point off winning the league behind only a state-backed team that has blatantly cheated their way to the title.

It sucks we didn't get that one more point but if you aren't enjoying this period of Arsenal history maybe you don't like football very much.

And hell, we might still win the league.

I don't think "accountability" is the right word for it. Finishing Top 2-3 in the league + CL quarterfinals is solid enough for a club like Arsenal even with the current spending.
But it would be great if certain usual suspects stopped putting Arteta on the a pedestal with Pep, Klopp, Wenger, SAF, etc. (until he wins something big at least).

Cry more you little nuthair.

Whoops, my bad. Point holds.

The Invincibles would also have finished behind 115-charges City.
Means nothing. History only remember winners. Liverpool has a 92 & 97 point league campaigns. Klopp will be remembered for 1 league title. Next season is Arteta last chance or his window will be closed at Arsenal imo

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal was firmly embedded in the local community and had a very solid, working-class foundations. The fans espoused the club's values. This visceral attachment, from childhood, to a club and a team is something I have never seen anywhere else with such fervour. Every fan's first match at Highbury was like a baptism.
