i think that chelsea don't need to look for players, once they hear a talent found by a top club they go and look and if there good the chelsea will be interested, they have the money to outbid anyone.

Chelsea become like Real Madrid, wanna buy players for 'fun'. they wanted Roberto Carlso when they had Bridge.
and Real wanted Owen when they dont needed him.

I believe we will buy an experienced defender soon. We just need in case more than one guy goes down. I thought Justin Hoyte did pretty well against norwich and he's going to get better but he is a little small. We need someone in the Sol mold...oh wait, that would be Senderos! The problem with Senderos is that he is now a year or so behind the learning curve because of his injuries. I still believe AW has a lot of faith in him and he will be a big factor for us down the road. That said, our squad is smaller than Manure and Chelsea (I think) so you can always add talented players.

what i wish we had is versaile players in defence. losing sol and toure is no worse than chelsea losing gallas and terry because they would have to play cavalho and huth. but if man utd for instance lost rio and silvestre, they would have gary neville, heinze and oshea along with their more sepcialist cbs in brown and specto. wenger wants another right back, and i think it would be a good idea to go for a player capable of playing in both positions.

Patrick, I agree with you. I think the smart move for Arsenal if we are looking to sign a defender is to get someone who can cover both central defense as well as right defense. We are covered well at left back with Cole and Clichy.
