As I was saying in the top 4 thread, Arsenal has now given up 50 goals in the Premier League this season. No team that gives up 50 goals deserves to be anywhere near the top 4. (Sp**s and Chelsea have each given up less than 40, while City and Liverpool have given up 22 each.)

People can ***** and moan about the alleged deficiencies of wingers and other attacking types all they want, but the fact is that if Arsenal managed to score three goals against Burnley next week they will have matched the goal total of The Invincibles. But The Invincibles gave up only 26 goals. This year's team can double that by giving up two next week. Simple logic tells us where this team's deficiencies lie.

Arsenal needs better players in the back. Until they have better players in the back, they will continue to struggle to make the top 4. Getting Bellerin and Holding back next season will help, but they need more. A lot more.

But if we’d bought defenders that’s still Xhaka making the error.

I don’t get how anyone can watch how pedestrian our midfield is but still pass it on for another year.

What does Xhaka even offer us? He’s a warm body we can stick in midfield and that’s it.

£10m for Welbeck, £50m bid turned down for Ramsey in 2017, could've maybe got £20m for Wilshere. So much money that could've been reinvested. Horrendous management of contracts.

Gazidis or whoever was in charge was so ****ing terrible.

I'd say it all started 10 years ago when we've lost all our DM in 6 months (Flamini Lassana Gilberto) and they got replaced by Denilson.

Then RVP, Nasri contract situation. Letting Cesc leaving on a cheap. And so on.

We want results. We are stagnating or declining whilst our rivals are improving. That's clear to see. The club needs to instil faith in the fans not the other way round. The fans have endured enough.

The failing of Emery just shows how pathetic the treatment of Wenger was. We played better, more attractive football last season. Wenger's downfall was too much loyalty to some of his players.
