On we go, need a seriously nice win to get the weekend out of my mind.
St. Totteringham's Day would get this weekend out of my mind. This match needs to be the start of a win streak so we can laugh at them again asap.Jasard said:On we go, need a seriously nice win to get the weekend out of my mind.
Rex Banner said:The problem with Ramsey who I admit is in a bit of a trough is that defensively he's still an improvement over pretty much all our other midfielders including Rosicky and Santi.
Also he's our only genuine CM who's fit right now, his stamina and workrate are important to the team, even if his attacking play is pretty subpar right now. If Wilshere or Arteta were fit I'd probably start them over Ramsey but Santi or Rosicky leaves us far too light.
Ramsey has been that way all season to be honest.Pies said:Rex Banner said:The problem with Ramsey who I admit is in a bit of a trough is that defensively he's still an improvement over pretty much all our other midfielders including Rosicky and Santi.

That midfield (Caz-Coq-Roz) played just fine without Ramsey, don't see why it wouldn't work in this one. Personally think Ramsey strains our midfield at times. His positional sense is awful at present and leaves us exposed or open, forcing the rest of our midfield to compensate. Rosicky was excellent at keeping the ball and but was as important with keeping our shape I felt. Granted this is Ramsey's place and Rosicky can't go every match anyway, but think we were playing some of the best football we have this season with the Caz-Coq-Rosi midfield.
You're probably right that Ramsey will start this one. Even in that City match he made me nervous, we made it through but still makes me nervous at times. Hopefully he can develop a better positional sense, although that's easier said than done.
As good as this looks, it is a defensive nightmare. Walcott is not good at helping defensively, neither is Özil. It will leave Bellerin completely exposed.Mitch said:I really would like to see the combination of the attacking midfield trio of Özil, Alexis and Walcott start out of curiosity to see how they play together rather than anything negative on Cazorla's part. Ramsey has deserved to be dropped from the first team for quite sometime and I would like to see it but I doubt Wenger will do it. Also a good game for Gabriel to make his debut. I would like to see the following team:
---------Ospina--------
Bellerin-Kos--Gabriel-Monreal
-----Rosicky---Coquelin
Walcott---Özil---Alexis
----------Giroud
