anywhere you place a 60,000 stadium you are going to have problems

Even 30,000 seat stadiums/arenas have problems. Its just something you have to deal with. That being said, surely there are some things the city and the team could do to help with the problem.

Heh.

Thats why people used to like Newcastle, even their multi-millionaire owner likes to sink a beer with the lads, they wear shortsleeves in January etc they're lovable lunatics, but when you have sh!t like like barton in your team the whole club becomes as despised as ManU.

And there it is! good to see they're tried to repair their tattered reputation. 8))

Ashley's also not going to get in trouble with his drinking in the stadium either,

Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley will not face charges after being filmed drinking beer inside the Emirates Stadium in London during an away game at Arsenal, a police source said on Monday.
Drinking alcohol inside a soccer stadium in view of the pitch is banned under tough rules to prevent fan violence.
Ashley was shown in broadcast clips downing what appeared to be a pint of beer in a plastic mug as London side Arsenal defeated Newcastle 3-0 in a premiership match on Saturday.
The billionaire retail magnate was as usual watching his team alongside ordinary supporters in the stands rather than from the directors' box.
An officer spoke to Ashley at the match and warned him not to repeat the offence, but no further action will be taken.
"Following a complaint from a member of the public during the Arsenal v Newcastle Premier League match a man received words of advice for consuming alcohol in a prohibited area," a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
A Newcastle spokesman said Ashley had not set out to break any laws.
"Mike was offered a drink that he was told was non-alcoholic and he took it in good faith." (Reporting by Tim Castle)

First off, anyone else get the impression that if it was you or I, we'd be standing infront of a Magistrate by now? And Secondly, didnt think a amber coloured drink in a pint glass wasnt alcholic?? Is he for real!?!?! Geez, it looks like beer, it smells like beer, It even tastes like it... must be a lemonade !(or schweps Shandy)
