How annoying is David Pleat's commentary?
At one point he said the Man Utd - Liverpool rivalry is stronger and more fierce than the Arsenal - Sp*rs rivalry. This coming from soneone who was at Sp*rs for all those years.

It is more fierce and stronger. I've supported Arsenal all these years. But yes, Pleat is annoying.

After the game, me and my mate started walking up to Seven Sisters Station and went into a shop to get a drink. We came out the shop, and there are these two Arsenal fans wearing home kits and they both looked about 15. They are suddenly surrounded by 8-10 Sp**s fans who start jostling and threatening them. One of them managed to run off but the other one got circled. Then, egged on by around 20 Sp**s fans nearby, they all start jostling this kid and force him to take his shirt off in the middle of the street. They then said they were going to burn it in front of his face!

Me and my mate left before it got really ugly, id love to be able to say either of us were hard enough or brave enough to fight off 20 odd Sp**s fans and save the kid but we couldn't. It looked like they let him go when they had the shirt, and he was a bit silly wearing it, but what happened to him was totally reprehensible.

Where were the police? Nowhere. They were loads directly outside the ground, but they left the rest of the High Road back to the station unpoliced. In some ways them equalising might have been a good thing, because if they had lost it would have been much worse. My friend who is a Sp**s season ticket holder was telling me how useless the police are there, they basically let the Sp**s fans attack the away fans and then if the away fans fight back they get arrested!

From the official site. Not surprising to see the yids up to their usual tricks.

Very debatable that mate. Utd seem to hate Liverpool much more than Liverpool hate Utd.

Yes. Have you read this month's FOURFOURTWO? The 'more than a game' section is Liverpool v Manchester United. Very interesting read.

I ended up on my own walking back to the overland train station, absolutely surrounded by Sp**s fans.. shouting abuse at some Arsenal fans and throwing stuff at them. There were some police there though.. I was ****ing glad at that point I wasn't in colours.

These muppets are ridiculous excuse for football fans. sheesh. Show some bloody respect ffs. but then again, relating respect towards yids from us are even a ridiculous thought....

On the side note, Pleat was terrible with his commentary at the game, ffs, learn some pronounciation. there's nothing more annoying when some one mis pronounce a word and seemed to be proud of it. Then again it's nothing new, just ponders my mind a little, how did he EVER became a commentator :?

I think our rivalry is very strong, and is one of the strongest in English football, but when I see the ManUtd fans singing about Hillsborough, and 'Pool fans singing about Munich, it is difficult not to realise that those 2 can hate each other up to fairly insane levels.

They were kids, they were obviously frightened out and just wanted to get the hell out of there. I personally would have intervened by claiming I supported Tottenham and asking the idiots to leave the boy alone, as they had already given him a scare. If they refused though, I would have left with nothing more to say, one man alone can't fight against 20 stupid animals (spuds) unless he is provided with a weapon.

He'd probably hit some random woman instead due to his dreadful aim, and fall to the ground in slow motion as soon as they touch him.

Seriously though, I wouldn't want to be involved in a fight with him. According to recent reports he is here to stay, and if Wenger has faith in him, so do I.

I was in a police escourt to and from the ground so didnt see any trouble, yids dont like picking on grown men who will have a go back. When fronted on the High Rd after the semi they werent too brave either.

Really people who wear colours to the Lane deserve a slap, but not if they are young kids. Yids really do have the most utter **** following them in London. It is no wonder Chelsea and WHU hate them aswell.

I'm sorry about any qunts you may have come across. Unfortunately they do exist. I thought there was a police escort though? I saw a police encircled group of Arsenal fans (a quite considerable number) heading away from the ground...

The police didnt sort an escourt until about 5/10 minutes after our fans started to come out.

Yeah, I expected an police escort of some sort when I came out, but there was just a line of police dividing the gates where the away fans were coming out of from where the home fans were going, and then when you reached the main road, there was just nothing, everyone merged in.. **** really.

Everyone hates them.

Just sheer unadulterated knuckle dragging ****.

50 year olds still harping on and on and on about their 'firm' before going to slap a dad in front of his kids.

****s ****s ****s.

That was me who posted that on the official site, I wish me and my friend could have done more to help them. We thought about calling the police but it all happened inside a minute and once they had the shirt it looked like they were letting the kid go (they stopped circling him anyway).

All the police seemed to be directly outside the ground, which does kind of make sense but a few token officers up the high road might have been a good idea. They probably thought they were going to march the Arsenal fans up themselves but nobody announced this would happen so guys like us just slipped out quietly.

The funniest thing for me was the wild party their fans were having outside the ground, all singing "2-1 and you ****ed it up". For a club who reckons they are the biggest club in London and up there with Real Madrid in history and tradition, their mindset is very small minded.

Well done boys, you scrambled an undeserved draw against the 4th best side in the league! You truely are men amongst men, you should all be really proud!

That's priceless..

"We still owe Arsenal a couple of results after what happened earlier this season and it was unfortunate we didn't get the three points."

After what happened this season... That'll be when when we beat them 3-0, came from 2-0 down at the Lane with a second string side and then beat them 3-1 at the Grove then, will it?

How he can use the word "unfortunate" as well, anyone would think it was them who conceded an equaliser in the 5th minute of 4 minutes injury time.

"We know there are critics out there who have questioned us after the big games, but we don't bottle the big games and our record in the UEFA Cup this season proves that."

Which is why Sp**s are top of the league, unbeaten, have won the Carling Cup, are in the UEFA Cup semi finals and the FA Cup final., aren't they? Aren't they? Oh hang on...

No, blowing a 2-0 semi final lead at home to the Arse, a 3-1 quarter final lead at Chelsea doesn't count as bottling at Tottenham, clearly.

"We had a British record of eight straight wins and that was against some very good sides so that proves we can compete against the best."

In the UEFA Cup?

"It's about what we do as a team and we know that to get in the Champions League in a few years' time we have to beat the likes of Arsenal. But as far as I'm concerned, our season has been just as good as theirs. "

Despite the fact that we were actually in the Champions league and are currently 4 places and 11 points ahead of Sp**s? Oh and we knocked them out of a cup competition.

EDIT: That's 5 places and 13 points..

"We had a longer run in Europe than them even though it was the UEFA Cup and while they are ahead of us in the league, we also went far in the other cup competitions."

Er, what? One round further in the FA Cup and one round less in the Carling Cup...

Time for your medication, Mr Keane.

Arsenal Quotes

When Patrick Vieira came over from AC Milan, he didn’t know a word of English. We gave him accommodation, phone, car and an English teacher. I talked to Patrick in fluent French and before a game I asked in French, can you speak a bit of English to me? Patrick nodded and replied: Tottenham are shit!
