@Paperino cup competitions aside who do you think would get more than 89 points with these players aside from Arteta?

You can’t definitely say anyone, and for that reason Mikel deserves next season.

Why so serieuse?

This is why “depth” is important but it’s also about having players like Rodri (Rice, Gabriel and Ødegaard for us), who have good injury histories.
Only Saliba is irreplaceable. We can survive with the rest. Provided its only one of them missing. Knowing our luck all three of them will go down at the same time.

People talk about City’s depth but if they lose Rodri who’ve they got? No one.
That's why they wanted Rice/Paqueta

They still have a stronger squad than us though with better depth in pretty much every other position.

When we played them they had a 2nd string defence & were still excellent.

Loads of people seem to have decent second string defence. Our second string isn't very good though

Outside City not so sure many have top replacements tbh.

Also a lot of our issues has been with injuries.

I do think we need another defender though in the summer.

Tomi has struggled but if fit can play across the backline. Timber also can cover CB & FB & has just missed a whole season.
Kiwior has played RB but is primarily a CB & Ben White can play RB/CB.

That's decent flexibility tbf . Add another who can cover FB positions & we are probably ok.🤞

They wanted Paqueta to replace Bernardo if he left. He's their prime target again this summer if Bernardo goes.

I just hope next season Arteta will have a firm strategy from the first game, despite if there will be new players. Not really trying to do experience weird things early on such as Partey as RB, Gabriel benched, Ramsdale/Raya debacle, Insisting Havertz in mid despite not performing, etc which cost us in the first half. We already have a formula working now, hopefully he keeps the formula if everyone is healthy

It is well known the referees are protected very well like the lions in the zoo so we have to live with their decisions
