If we had a real striker things could have been different. But we havent and thats the managers responsibility.

Can’t play everyone and we don’t have unlimited funds - given the way things have developed for us this term can you really say Kai was a poor purchase and if not, how do we find this other “real” striker?

Would City Fans say we lost the league at home vs Palace, where they lead 2:0 and conceded a 95th penalty for the 2:2?

It's a league season, it doesnt make sense to say "we lost the league in this game". At the end they were just a bit better against smaller teams, small difference, but it's enough.

Stating the feckin obvious but City just have so many good players. They do this thing where one player has a great spell and gets loads of plaudits then they go out of view for a bit and someone else comes into the spotlight.

Stones on the bench today, he was Beckenbauer reborn not long ago, Diaz was a god in his first season then he didn’t play for ages and now he’s back in. Foden player of the season this year, but if he was injured it wouldn’t matter cos there’s Bernardo Silva de Bruyne and Grealish, one of them would be POTS.

Yeah the crying about it is a bit silly. They were marginally better than us over the season, a season where we could've easily finished 4 or 5 points better off. Dust it off and try again next season.

Scary thing is, in general terms over the course of the season, City were playing better last season. Much better.

Stop mentioning the Villa game , we didn't blow it there.
Perfection in the second half of the season was always a long shot. If we blew it anywhere it was dropping too many points earlier on to Fulham, West Ham and Newcastle. I think our form since Dubai has been title winning stuff. Unfortunately for the last two seasons we have been doing title winning stuff for only half of the time. Let's hope next year we can maintain it for the whole year.

Bro, you shouldnt dismiss the overall strength of the league because of City.

City are probably the best PL team in history. You can even see this admission from the likes of @GDeep™.

The overall strength of the league is stronger, just on advancements in football alone. The league is stronger now than the mid 2000s, just like the mid 2000s were stronger than the 1980s.

Individual quality of player, yeah that's a discussion to be had IMO.

Meh. The league was fairly attainable, I don’t buy into this stuff that the current City side are unbeatable or there’s no chance of winning the PL with them around. In previous seasons when they were hitting 95+ points I would agree but this current version will probably win the league with 89 points, a point better than us so I disagree with this narrative.

Lool yeah because 7 games to go you have a home game against Villa and a team who have amazing record in April and May is chasing you and you collapse at home. That second half vs Villa was a team who felt the moment and couldn’t respond. Offcourse we go on a run when it’s not on our hand

When you grow up with a club and you end up playing for them and winning things, you are from that club. I was born here. I was formulated here.
