Worth the gamble to keep him. Only have to look at how the season turned out eventually for Sp**s and Kane. Leeds losing Raphina could be the difference between EPL and relegation. 100% right they hold out and get their money. I think this strategy is dead in the modern game for two reasons.

Mainly, the reason Leeds got him in the first place was through good relationships with super agents.

You piss them off and then the tap is turned off for all their other clients.

Then the other reason is simply that if you do sit him for a year then you’ve still got to sell him next year and his value might be even lower than this season’s.

Also 35M is better than sitting Raphinha if you’re a relegation side.

Barca keep taking these short term financial get out of jail cards. At some point they're going to have to be serious and deal with the matter though.
