Dont know about this, I dont mind taking input from analysts about players but to sign one without even a trial or extensively scouting him (which they dont say we did or not).
This is a low risk transfer so sure but I dont like the purely analyst approach.

Given the main midfield of the U23 team will likely go on loan (Olayinka and Smith) as well as Burton having left, it'll probably just be Azeez, Cottrell and Cirjan, so this signing makes sense in terms of strengthening the U23 team while maintaining the U18 midfield of Patino and Bandeira. This seems like a good punt - players like Akinola and Lewis could net us decent money if they progress very well under the U23s and with a good manager like Bould, they could very well turn out to be potential first teamers. I have not seen much of Akinola but I;ve seen a video floating around so I'm gonna watch it and see what he's like.

The danger IMO is that the U23 squad gets a bit too bloated and players who should be moved up from U18s early end up staying there for longer and have much less exposure to competitive first team football. Then they end up going on loans later than necessary (see Matt Smith only going on loan now to League One, he will turn 20 in October).

Lol well in lad
Coquelin reborn

Looks to have pretty quick feet aswell. This probably ends our search for a young CM at that level. I know we were looking at Ben Slimane among other young CMs, this guy looks very much in that mold.

This looks a decent punt.

EDIT: Jeorge Bird just made a decent point that we don't actually have midfielders in the U23s who specialise in breaking up play now, so this makes a lot of sense if you look at it in that regard.

Well we cant always develop them from age 12 so this makes sense. He looks to be a confident player, quick feet, could do well.

Never a good sign when all the player can do is stay down in the ground tackling others. AVERAGE.

We are taking valuable time from our coaches who could be coaching a proper talents instead we are dumping some tackling maniacs who belong in 4th division on them.

Massive L from Edu here like before.

You're reaching! We don't have any great ball-winners at that level, and he isn't taking time away from anyone who doesn't deserve it. He'll partner Azeez most likely while Cottrell and Cirjan will play ahead. (It's too early for both Patino and Bandeira, at least for another 6 months anyway) Going by the rest of the comps, it's not like he can't play either, good ball-carrier.

This is a fair punt, I'm happy with this. If it doesn't work out long term (which I'm guessing is likely), we'll also make some fair profit aswell. In the meantime, I can see him being a great foil for Azeez. Reckon they'd be pretty complementary in the same way that Musah (a much, much better talent, mind) was complementary to Azeez.

Arsenal Quotes

Don’t be scared to be ambitious. It’s not a humiliation to have a high target and to fail. For me, the real humiliation is to have a target and not to give everything to reach it.
