I can reveal a very important name of the international transfer market is close to joining Liverpool Football Club.

Jonas Hector, the Germany left-back who won the bronze medal in the last Euros in France, is set to move to the Reds.

With the recent sale of Brad Smith to Bournemouth there is a little cover for the left back role at Anfield: Jon Flanagan and Alberto Moreno are the only naturals in that position available.

Liverpool consider those two players of the quality of mere rotation players and so they are hoping to reignite their pursuit of Hector and have sent an enquiry to FC Köln.

The answer from the German club has been non-negotiable: £22.5 million will get him.

Liverpool intend to match the demand, in order to obtain a player that Klopp appreciates a lot. And also because, with the £6 million taken from Bournemouth for Smith, Liverpool haven't any money problems.

Liverpool will submit their offer in the next 24 hours: they want to seal the deal as soon as possible.

And I can tell you Hector is very keen on the opportunity to join the Reds - and to work with Jurgen Klopp.
