The thing that makes me distrust this one is the "fee slashing" bit. I really doubt that Aulas woke up one morning, made some porridge (or baguette/ croissant, whatever) and decided to knock a third off Paqueta's asking price. It just smacks of one ITK parroting the dodgy info from another. Obviously hoping I'm wrong.

Dont think we will go after this guy now we have zinchenko. Think we try for a winger and thats it. unless we see Paqueta as someone that can play winger also.

I don't know if he's better than Guimaraes, scored more consistently through his career and just feels a better fit with Partey and Ødegaard to me.

In an alternate Universe I would have been delighted with either Guimaraes or Paqueta though.

Didn’t realise Paqueta is almost 25.

How was he at Milan @Yousif Arsenal ? Weird career move to go to Lyon from there.

Alus ****ed up with Aouar, he was going for £50m and the. They had to sell him for peanuts.

Lyon have made quite a few signings on a free, no doubt that has pushed up their wave bill, plus they were badly effected by covid.

So they'll have to sell but if they ask for too much and there and no one bites they'll have to slash the asking price.

I think pauqeta could be picked up between £30m-£35m. I think thats the going rate for a good quality midfielder. Look at Fabio and Zinchenko.

Arsenal Quotes

In 1997/98 we became English champions as I had set myself three missions to carry out which I felt were essential. One: to have an impact on the result and the team's playing style. Two: to foster the player's individual development. Three: to strengthen the structure of the club and enhance its global influence.
