Brighton conceded 5 at home to Dyche's Everton. They're still a dangerous team. But I think we should be fairly comfortable. They're not a physical side like Newcastle. They play football the 'right way' which should suit us.

Our record has not been greet against them since they gained promotion back in 2017. They've always made life difficult for us. Even the game we won was always a struggle. Think this season was the first time we beat them emphatically. No reason not to beat them at home especially as they'll be low on confidence. We beat them, we put them at risk of losing European football and they play out of their skin to get a result against City.

Think the lineup picks itself tbh except maybe Jorginho eps his place.

Prediction

Arsenal 2-0 Brighton

PV4 says we are missing the physical presence leadership- basically himself tbh. He says City has that physical presence allied to technicality. It's not just about size but pace, agility and power. Micah says Partey's tail off from dominating physically to dropping has been significant

What kind of questions? You thinking what I’m thinking?

Absolutely 🧐

The other problem with these super hyped English players is the media circus they bring.

Look at the absolute carnage caused by Maguire being sh*t at Utd. All his journo mates briefing against the club and fans.

Don’t want that noise here.

It seemed like the performance of a team that knew the title was gone and there wasn't much to fight for which is shocking lack of professionalism. Brighton came in incredibly hungry we were treating it like a dead rubber.

It's like how we started vs Southampton because of the way we bottled Liverpool and West Ham prior the players came into that game in a negative mindset it was a similar story here probably after hearing the City result. A incredible lack of professionalism in the mindset of the team in those two home games have cost us taking this title race to the final day. I think that's the most disappointing part, even discounting the Liverpool and City results, even the West Ham one, if you look at Southampton at home and now Brighton at home and how we approached both games it's incredibly disappointing for a team fighting for the title.

This is exactly what I've been trying to tell the people all afternoon - they knew they weren't going to win the title, which resulted in a lack of motivation. However, this should not and cannot happen.

On way home. Weird game.

First half we had four good chances - 3xOde 1x Saka but didn’t hit the target - despite Brighton in playing an excellent negative press, very creative exploiting space. But equally a huge amount of tactical fouling, time wasting and fake injuries. Diabolical refereeing display from all three officials tbf. Still v positive vibe in the stadium.

Second half so, so poor, no impetus, no change of gear with the subs. A couple of comedy defensive errors and game over.

In the end we ran out of steam in the face of a Coked up juggernaut with a wimper not a bang, which was a shame.

But so much positivity to take from the season - just don’t get the negativity here, maybe that’s just because I’m one of the few season ticket holders so get to see it up close most weeks.

Should be a positive close season and we go again, with added CL.

This needs to be a line in the sand moment, tbh.

Can't keep losing to Brighton at home, beaten us way too many times since their promotion.

They are a good team, but that was unacceptable today from us.

We just have to do what all the big companies do and buy out all of their best players.

Instead of shopping elsewhere, just do our summer spending in Brighton. Caicedo, Mitoma and Enciso would be some good business.

Neville couldn't hide his delight, the little ****.

Must have said "Arsenal were beaten by the better side today" about 1000 times today...but when his boys regularly get smashed by teams it's either "it's not Liverpool being good today, it's United being awful" or passes the blame to the Glazers somehow despite the club spending an absolute fortune.

****ing hate football commentary these days.

We should 100% go for Caicedo, he should be the midfielder we build around.

Think Brighton now have a rivalry with us now (in their own mind) and will sell him to anyone but us, like Palace with Zaha.

Arteta is apologising for the performance especially in the second half. He concedes that the title has gone and says we failed to respond. He says it's an individual thing but didn't throw anyone under the bus. Says Brighton were really good and we were really poor especially at recovering the ball in the final third. He says we have to look individually and makes no excuses. He's down but seething. A few better go quietly in to the night.
Neville says our spine has mot been rock solid and mentions Gabriel, Partey and Jesus. Micah says the loss of Saliba has been massive snd our subs reduce our level. Neville isn’t buying it

21 years old, can cover a few positions and schooling some of the best midfielders in the so called “best league” in world football.

Caicedo is an absolute no brainer.

Our best RB ever bro, in the best Arsenal team in 30 years . Mitoma better than Vinni Jnr. No no don't argue with me

Lauren would have crunched Mitoma early to put him into his shell/pocket especially when he saw the ref was letting everything go at the start, while prime Sagna would have just been too fast and strong for Mitoma to do anything against 1 v 1.

Saw the downside to White physically today, just lacks that half years of speed.
