No, my complaint is that afcon usually is extremely defensive football and low scoring affairs

That's just in the last tournament really where the knockouts were tense affairs, normally the difference to the Euros is not big. Both usually average between 2 and 2.5 goals per game

Hate the aesthetic layout of six group tournaments. Third place teams should not be in knockout football.
Really it should be condensed to 16 if they don’t back the quality of a 32 team tournament.
