Best bits from @SA Gunner and @Uncle Good-Advice post-match conference.

3-2, satisfied with result?
Not at all. We were clearly the better team but luck wasn't with us this time. I guess it's because of some voodoo rituals that took place in away team dressing room. We found evidence that Kevin De Bruyne and Marcelo were targeted by some Uruguayan dark magic.

Speaking of Uruguay, you told us before that Diego Godin is a c**t. Did you change your mind after the match?
I'd prefer not to speak. If I speak I'm in trouble. Diego Godin is a c**t and if you look at Vini, he's soft as hell as you could see.

Any changes for the return leg?
Our tactical mastermind @SA Gunner is working on that, we can assure that there will be changes in the line-up. But like it was said before - we were by far the better team and we're very disappointed with the result.

Some say that it's tactical genius from AGFC to go back home with a good result.
Here at SUAGA FC we have a lot of respect to a man dubbed @American_Guardiola or @Arsenes_Grandfather. He knows football (or rather soccer as he often calls our game) and we fully expect some surprising tactical manouvers in return leg.

Will you win next game?
We're sure of that. We have great players and great fans. Only thing that can stop us is corrupt refereeing and unlucky simulation!

Right so with the first leg in the books and old man Suarez unable to really play all out for two 90 minute games in quick succession @SA Gunner and @Uncle Good-Advice go with the younger man in Wayne Rooney.

It's an unchanged team for @A_G though who despite being accused of witchcraft and voodoo practices by the opposing managers in their post match press conference, he calmly repeats his belief that they're confident of going through. He also defended Vinicius for the unseemly food throwing incident in the last game and played down any beefs involving Marcelo and Godin. The team was focused on the game ahead only!

And focused they were... inside a rabid AG Arena they start off fully on the front foot, sending everything they have at FC SUAGA in search of the goal they need to go through. 5 minutes in and a devilish corner is deflected off a lunging Matthias Sammer by the desperate boot of Danny Blind...

The ball bounces on the edge of the area to Edgar Davids... who leans sideways in an attempt to half volley it...

The crowd shouts "NO!"...

edgar-davids.jpg

BUT THEY SCREAM "YES!"

Davids unleashes a thunderbolt volley into the bottom corner beyond a diving Buffon! 1-0 to AGFC and they're now through as it stands thanks to their two away goals!

Five minutes later the crowd wants more and AGFC aren't letting up... a brilliant dribble and pass from Abedi Pele releases Messi. He turns Kanté inside out and leaves De Bruyne wrong footed as a quick burst of acceleration gets him running at the heart of the SUAGA defence.

He cuts inside tries to place it.... and.....

HITS THE CROSSBAR!

But who's following in???

VINICIUS JR MAKES IT 2-0

No dancing this time, it's a devil celebration surely in response to those wild comments from the SUAGA manager. Tbf Messi did look possessed as he weaved through that SUAGA team.

Now the equation is getting tougher for SUAGA, they need to get two goals without reply to go through. They're clinging on and trying to get through to half time... just after 30 minutes it's Messi again toying with Lúcio and De Bruyne. They can't get the ball off him and he slips a flying Zanetti in on the overlap...

He whips a furious low cross towards the penalty spot where...

DROGBA FIRES IT IN FIRST TIME!!!

He holds off Thiago Silva and gets good contact to steer it past a flapping Buffon who's left with no chance. Three goals with Messi at the heart of them and FC SUAGA are sinking without trace. In fairness the equation hasn't changed much with that goal, if they get two they force extra time but it's not looking good. They cling on until halftime and trudge off in stunned disbelief.

AGFC are cruising 3-0 up!

Hopefully a better second half from the boys, we've been playing with the handbrake on this whole tournament.

No disrespect to @A_G FC of course. Fully deserved of the lead this tie.

Into the second half we go and it's an immediate change for SUAGA! He's been their talisman so far in the tournament and they need him more than ever, it's Luis Suarez on in the hopes he can unlock the defence.

@A_G FC are going to sit on what they have from this point, surely in need to recover after their absolutely full powered excursions of the first half and immediately there's chaos. A late foul from Kimmich on Suarez causes a huge blow up! De Bruyne is grappling with Davids and in his technical area an absolutely enraged @Uncle Good-Advice is being held back by co-manager @SA Gunner from attacking a laughing Godin.

It's yellows for Kimmich and De Bruyne but also one for @Uncle Good-Advice who is lucky to stay on the sideline. The incident has seemed to have fired up the SUAGA boys and not long afterwards De Bruyne rolls one tackle from Davids, finds Henry who leaves Fabinho for dust... he's past Zanetti in a flash as well... looks up and fires it to the back post...

Where....

ROONEY TAPS IT IN!!!

wayne-rooney-cropped_1nwtuilm2etxo1gvc6qv2ricm8.jpg

Absolutely sensational play from Henry, he took on the whole SUAGA team and prevailed! Now they're just a goal away from tying everything up on aggregate!

Straight from the kick off it's shuffled back to Thiago Silva... he hits a long ball forward...

THAT GODIN MISSES!

Godin missed his header.. it bounces through for Shevchenko... just the keeper to beat and he...

SCORES!!!!!!

Calamity for Godin who must have been rattled by his beef with @Uncle Good-Advice and it's now all square on aggregate! If it stays like this there's going to be extra time....

Now @A_G has the big decision to make... his team is still safe but with all the energy they've exerted surely they need to try and wrap this up in 90 minutes. With his last sub on goes Mauro Icardi who got a huge goal in the last game...

Now it's very open... no-one can get their noses ahead though and in the dying minutes there's only time for one last attack...

Henry once again has his man on an island... he takes it inside and sends a banger towards goal which...

CRASHES OFF THE BAR!!!

The ball rebounds to De Boer and he races on the counter into midfield... he slips it to Messi who plays Abedi Pele in down the left side... he sees Rui Costa behind him... he backheels it to him... Rui Costa fires a ball across the area and....

IT'S LEO MESSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII AT THE DEATH TO WIN IT!!!!

A beautiful first time finish from the GOAT and the SUAGA players fall to the floor. On the sideline @A_G goes absolutely wild as the game ends!

Unbelievable stuff 4-2 on the night but 6-5 on aggregate it goes to AGFC who are into the semi finals!

Arsenal Quotes

I believe one of the best things about managing people is that we can influence lives in a positive way. That’s basically what a manager is about. When I can do that, I am very happy.
