Didn't watch the game but good to hear he looked solid. Here on A-M he has quite maligned earlier. He cannot be totally rubbish. He is the US National team's GK after all, isn't he?

He looks physically awkward sometimes especially when kicking the ball - which maybe didn't make the best first impression - but he seems to have good instincts about how to play the position and a good head on his shoulders. And has a reputation as a top shot-stopper.

Didn't look good at all, but of course there were rotations going on.

But also it looked like the cold weather and especially the artificial field made it tough. Not worried, a good win over a team that had won 14 European games in a row at home ground.

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
