Can't even finish against a Barca in 10th gear ffs, our strikers are ****.

Keep it down to 1/2-0 and it will be a good result for our **** team.

You guys do realise Barcelona haven't even attempted to be their best against us, right? We haven't been better because we're actually better, we've been better because they can't be arsed and that's even more depressing.

Get a grip mate. We were by all accounts going to get smashed tonight, especially with the lineup we put out there. Obviously Barca aren't giving it their all but considering the circumstances that was not a bad half by any means. There's been ample opportunity for melodramatics this season, let's appreciate the fact we are actually doing ok so far.

Get the feeling we've had a word with Barca, we won't score but just don't smash us.

Sounds like something we'd do.

Need to get a lot shooting on target rather than tonnes of passes in front of goal. No shots, no goal

Never seen an Arsenal team under wenger that was so poor at football like the current, we have players that can't make a simple pass. We can't shoot to save our lives etc..

So frustrating,.

We haven't been 'poor at football' today though, this is our best performance in months. If we'd been playing like this all of 2016 we'd be well clear in the league. We've had two major problems of late:

1. Turgid football as a consequence of having no mobility in the front 3

2. On the off chance we miraculously create a chance the finishing has been woeful.

We have to sort problem 1 out before anything else, and from that 45 minutes we were ok in that regard. Iwobi has a future here for sure. Welbeck isn't the best, but he can actually run and dribble towards the goal with a football which is more than you can say for Giroud and Walcott. All of a sudden, with the bare minimum of pace and decent movement up front we've looked a threat. We only conceded because of Kos madness and created way more clear chances than they did.

We aren't going through, but based on the last few months this is a gallon of water in the Sahara.

The thing that's really cost us over the legs is our finishing, Barcelona's haven't really outclassed us as much as I thought they would, they still dominate and are dangerous but with the amount of chances we've created we could easily have scored 2 in the first leg and another 1 or 2 tonight and probably should have had a penalty too.

Iwobi has done well but can you really imagine him scoring or been a genuine threat in a game like this?

Can't help but feel Theo might have gotten a goal. Having said that we would probably be unbalanced with Welbeck, Theo and Sanchez.

That's very simplistic and a bit daft. We know they're better but goals change games. If we could put the ball in the ****ing net, we'd be in with a shout of the league and still in this tie.

You misunderstood, I'm happy with the performance. Just seen a lot of posts about barca actually not being all that and us actually having the opportunity to beat them if we had better finishing. Just pointing out the fact barca haven't felt threatened by us, and probably would be playing much better had we scored a goal and frightened them a bit more. Don't see whats wrong with that.
