Watching Özil out there pissed me off, then when he fortunately gets a chance in the box he takes the coward option and plays the ball in to a crowded box.. We never looked like scoring really, as much as the good positions we got in Atletico always had numbers back. They're so comfortable at the backs to the wall defending.

Griezmann’s goal in the first leg is what killed us today. That welbeck dribble into 4 men and monreal playing griezmann onside is why we are ****ing out. That error reminded me of Oxlade-Chamberlain gifting Monaco the third goal which won them the tie. 10 man with 80 mins to go and we could not hold a one goal lead. Some of these lot lack so much intelligence that without football they would be serious laughing stock in the outside world

I have a feeling if it was the same ref as the first leg then Saul and Gabi would have been off. The amount of cynical fouls they had. And diving but Costa and Greizmann, and they were in the faces of the referee more than our CBs.
But until the referees start to have a back bone it will continue to happen. Its embarrassing for the sport and embarrassing in a way to support a team who doesn’t do that kind of thing
