Do you think Emery will get the club back on an upwards trajectory?

You’d find it extremely difficult replacing Lacazette, Aubamyeang & Monreal in today’s market..

Disagree with Monreal, but that's 2 players out of our entire 25 man squad and both of them have only been signed within the past 12 months.

It's confusing, because it wasn't long ago that the unity among fans was top priority, no matter who managed us. We were to get behind the manager etc for the sake of the team, even when we were finishing 6th. They were kidding no-one. They're now the ones stood grinning with knives hidden behind their backs. WOBs could easily build a case for being negative... Not sure how these bitter Wenger loyalists would go about it.
So predictable it's not even funny. A thin layer covering a hypocrisy so thick you can drizzle it over pancakes.

It's kind of gross that some have their knives out for the guy before he's even been unveiled. For example the chief Wenger sycophant's brilliant logic:
Emery not winning the league over a once in a generation group of talent at Monaco so special that a handful of them fetched nearly 300 million in transfer fees in a single summer=failure.
BUT
Wenger failing to win the title in a year when Leicester were the only competition because he couldn't beat Man United's children or Ronald Koeman's Shane Long led Southampton= rousing success we should have followed to the ends of the earth because "squad cost". All this mind you while ignoring Leicester's squad cost, Tottenham's squad cost and the manager wasting 80m in a single summer on Xhaka, Mustafi and Perez who never played.

It's fine to be apprehensive about Emery but it seems to me that a person unwilling to give a fair shot to the new manager out of some kind of perverse loyalty to the old manager is not a supporter of this club at all and should probably bugger off with Wenger to his next job(if/when he gets one).

There is a lot of talent that is right,

but we still need LB, 2 x CB, 1 CM, GK into our first team. That is almost half of the starting team we need upgrade on. In a world cup year, with short transfer window I would personally write off the first year as it would just be development stage for the new training and tactics methods to kick in.

Then he would only have 1 year to prove his worth.

True. I would be happy if we see improvement in tactics, aggression and defensive awareness. Our home form last season is a positive and if we can build on that we will at least be challenging for top 4. There is so much room for improvement i am positive about the season even if we dont bring in everything we need.

Arsenal Quotes

The only moment of possible happiness is the present. The past gives regrets. And future uncertainties. Man quickly realised this and created religion. It forgives him what he has done wrong in the past and tells him not to worry about the future, as you will go to paradise.
