Xhaka haters are insanely bias, they also have no self awareness of it.
It's an agenda.

Santi was a deep lying playmaker so was Xavi and PirloHis job is to get the ball into the final third where our 'creative' players should be. He literally did that with 13 passes into the final third and 2 into the penalty area. He is deep lying midfielder/part time defensive midfielder, his job isn't meant to be the one playing the final ball ffs.
It's an agenda.

Santi was an Advanced playmaker he played in the number 10 role.

In 2015 and 2016 he was our main central midfielder, with Mes just ahead of him as our 10.
How would everyone compare Arteta's time as our deep playmaker, to Granit's?
Arteta was stat padding in that position by always picking the safe passes, either backwards or sideways. It was also a position he wasn't supposed to be in and got bullied easily by more physically dominant midfielders, so he made the most out of a rotten deal. How would everyone compare Arteta's time as our deep playmaker, to Granit's?
In December 2014, Wenger transitioned him into DLP role.In 2012 he was the number 10.
Xhaka only has a long pass over Arteta. He is poorer than Mikel in almost every other aspect. Even for his height and size, Xhaka gets physically outmatched by the biggest players. Arteta had more progressive passesArteta was stat padding in that position by always picking the safe passes, either backwards or sideways. Xhaka was spraying diagonals early in the first two seasons here, but eventually started to do the same as Arteta.
Overall, I feel like Xhaka, who can be a real knucklehead at times, provides a bit more in that position.
TBF, Arteta did have his own limitations but he was more penetrative with his passes. How would everyone compare Arteta's time as our deep playmaker, to Granit's?

That's exactly what he was doing. He would assist or initiate an attack once in a blue moon. He was mostly holding on to possession by giving the ball to someone who wasn't in danger of getting dispossessed. Not constantly passing to the CB and sideways.
& you were the one calling other people dumb smhSanti was an Advanced playmaker he played in the number 10 role.
