We cannot afford to lose him, not now anyway.

Will play an important role in our hunt for the top four next year, also young enough to cash in on if the need arises.

Only Laca and Özil look comfortable with the ball at their feet in tight area's who are able to turn, ut Laca out of two players is the only one who shows fight
They are the better ones, but they still look very uncomfortable on the ball when compared to nasri, cazorla, hleb...

100% better than Giroud no question about it.

Laca is not quite WC (yet) but he’s defo a notch above no doubt in my mind.

Can anyone really say he's better than Giroud?
I'd say so.

Giroud was overrated. People claim he was good at holding up the ball and bringing others into play. The reality is that he was inconsistent at this. At times he would pass to nobody and he would regularly lose the physical battle with opposition centre backs. He would often end up on the floor, arms in the air asking for free kicks.

He was big, but not strong and possibly the slowest player (bar Mertesacker) I've ever seen in an Arsenal shirt.

He wasn't useless though, just pointing out that he had major flaws. Their goal ratios appear to be in the same ball park though.

Lacazette and Giroud are at similar level. Different players but similar level!
Lol.
In Premier league, Giroud has scored 78 and assisted 32 in 219 matches and 12,704 minutes.
Goals/assists per game - 0.5
Minutes per goal/assist - 115

In premier League, Laca has scored 27 and assisted 15 in 67 matches and 4713 minutes
Goals/assists per game - 0.63
Minutes per goal/assist - 112

Laca's age is 27. His best is yet to come.
Laca is sharing spoils with Auba.
Giroud played in front of an in form Özil with a functional midfield in a stable team. Laca is playing in front of a non-existent midfield, out of form Özil and an unstable team.
Still, Laca has better numbers. Your statement just reeks of bias. You don't even need the numbers. Just watching the match is enough to figure out who is better.

Different type of players. Similar levels.

What type? Can you explain what exactly Giroud is better at compared to Laca and vice-versa? The only thing I could think of is height.

Giroud is bigger and stronger, better at bringing other players into the game and has a better mentality they’re both slow. Lacazette tends to have tantrums a lot and if a game ain’t going his way he just strops around the pitch and looks for freekicks and penalties. He lacks the physicality needed in the PL.

Those stats look identical.

Bigger. Yes. Stronger. No. Did you even watch Giroud play? He is the one falls down and cries like a *****. One of the criticism received by Laca until recently was that he could have earned us penalties in some occasions by going to ground. But he didn't hence costing the team. Whenever he goes down, he does earn fouls. Giroud I remember has even been caught diving once.
