Lehamann- Didnt do much. 7

Hoyet- Solid for most parts, but got skinned couple times 7

Gallas- 2 very important anticipations in 1st half 8

Senderos - Solid, one of his better games, 90 faultless minutes, when did we last say that about him? 7
Clichy I love this guy- 8

Rosicky- N/A injured early on

Flamini- Exactly what you'd expect from him, he was every where. 8

Fabregas- Getting back to his best. 7

Diaby- Great shot in the 1st half, good link up play for most parts but at times too greedy. 7

Walcott- He never seem to execute anything he tries to do. but it was improvement from the last game.

Edu - It was his shot that led to the all important 1st goal, should of scored later on. 7

Ade- Poor 1st half, but 2 fantastic goals in 2nd, especially the 2nd, also should of goal hattrick. 9 MOTM

Walcott 5 - WTF? That's harsh.

Harsh? I would say it's pretty generous. He didn't make one right decision in the first half, and his final ball was pathetic. He was only marginally better in the second half.

I ain't gonna argue because football is all about opinions, but I thought he was a 6.5 today and wasn't poor at all.

People are being overly harsh on Abou. I think he did exceptionally well today. At least a 7.

Lehmann – 6.5 wasn’t called on to do much; distribution was good, cleaned up what corners came his way
Hoyte – 6 ok, blocked Duff’s shot in the first half
Senderos – 7.5 very good; blocked a couple, cleared at least one; had a nice battle with Smith, exchanging fouls
Gallas – 7 quiet game, did his job well
Clichy – 8.5 all-round excellent; had a couple of shots, crossing is improving – always brings high energy
Diaby (76 Silva ) – 6.5 much better; forced a good save from Given before half-time; passed better (or at all); good to see him subbed not for being poor
Flamini – 8 it’s what one doesn’t see that makes him so important; allowed us to keep pushing forward through the middle
Fabregas – 7 better from Cesc; saw more driving forward from him today
Rosicky (9 Eduardo ) - *sigh*
Walcott (76 Hleb ) – 6.5 like Diaby, much better; I was pleased to see him be more physical on the ball; again, like Diaby, good to see him subbed not for being poor
Adebayor - 8.5 great goals; I like they way he drifted across the box to create space

Substitutes

Eduardo – 7 unlucky not to score; willing to look for work
Hleb – 6 not enough time
Silva – 6 not enough time

I thought Walcott was ok actually. You could see Walcott and Diaby (a bit) were making an effort to look for passes.
Some people say Lehman had little to do, but still- anyone see the way he collected crosses/longballs? Almunia can only dream of doing that.

I'd go with the same as there only i'd give Diaby and Walcott a 7 each. I thought both players played well today

Arsenal Quotes

The coach's role is to make the player understand everything that serves the interest of the game. To do this he must speak to the child within each player, to the adolescent he was and the adult he is now. Too often a coach tends only to speak to the adult, issuing commands for performance, for victory, for reflection, to the detriment of the child who is playing for pleasure, living in the present.
