Id probably agree with this one, only I would give Theo a 7, and Almunia a 6- maybe 5.5, Sagna would get a 6. Otherwise, no point in me doing mine.

Special bonus points to Hleb for getting kicked every and anywhere multiple times in a row yet still putting in awesome performances.

Good game from Sunderland.....very handy lesson for the boys about what to do with a team who refuses to ly down. We would have lost or drawn that game last season.

Almunia 7 - Could do nothing about the goals.

Sagna 7 - Lost his awesome hair but still a solid display.

Toure 5 - Clueless at the back. Gets a bonus point for that shot and driving the team forward.

Senderos 7 - Our best defender, but that's not saying much. And what a finish

Clichy 5 - See Toure, without the going forward part.

Hleb 7 - Dangerous and creative. Unlucky not to get several assists.

Cesc 7 - Not his best game but still decent enough. His early season form is gone, hope it turns into mid season consistency.

Flamini 6 - Did his headless chicken thing again. Running around instead of taking up good positions.

Diaby 7 - Thought he played really well in the first half, but was rightly subbed in the second.

Ade 7 - Did well apart from the finishing.

RvP 8 - Started well but got worse and worse. End product counts though, and he won us the match once again.

Subs:

Theo 8 - Good stuff from Theo. Went past his man and looked a real threat.

Eboue 6 - Didn't do much.

Gilberto - N/A

Theo was good but 10? Did you see when Hleb carved them open on the left and cut it back for him 6 yards out and he fluffed it. Surely a blemish on his perfect game.

Almunia - 7 - Should've done better with the second conceded goal.
Sagna - 6 - Got caught a few times when surging forward.
Toure - 7 - Solid.
Senderos - 6 - Tried to contain Jones but no succeeded 1 attempt out of every three.
Clichy - 7 - Kept good balance btwn going forward and defending. Knew when and how to foul to stop opponent.
Hleb - 6 - Didn't offer much, specially in the first half.
Diaby - 5 - A bit lazy in helping Clichy. Held the ball too long and indecisive in releasing the ball.
Cesc - 6 - Tried hard with good imaginaiton and creatitivy as usuall, but not clinical enough.
Flamini - 6 - Tried very hard but didn't offer much protection to the back four. Allowed too many penetration passes from Sunderland in the firs half in particular.
RVP - 8 - MoM
Ade - 6 - Struggled to compete with Nosworthy.

Sub:
Theo - 7 - Took him ten minutes to get into the game. Got better and better on the pitch then.
Eboue - 6 - A bit lazy.
Gilberto - N/A - Late sub.

Wenger - 8 - Started making changes at 60th min and right substituions. A good sign.

I feel we played to roughly the same level for both games.

are you kidding?

Fabregas and Clichy were not up to par....missing passes and shots/crosses. They will jump back next week.
I would of liked Clichy off for Eboue, and for Sagna to go across as I think Sagna covered fairly well..
To be fair...Eboue played well when he came on...he seemed to be between his man and the goal everytime and always came out with possession.
Hleb, went under the radar for alot, and despite him not playing AS good as he was on the left, his first half performance was still great.
Ronaldinho...white version.

Theo, a fairly good game for a sub, he should get a start next week, as I think Diaby should be used where he is meant to be - centrally.

are you serious?
Clichy was horrible! and he gets a better rating than our 2nd best player on the field, Hleb?
did you watch the same game/the game at all mate? or did you just randomly select numbers...because I cant see how you can justify that!

Almunia :)
Sagna :| Touré :) Senderos :) Clichy :?
Hleb :thumbup Cesc :) Flamini :) Diaby :ph34r
RVP :thumbup Adebayor :|

Theo :thumbup Eboue :) Gilberto :)

Team Verdict:
A game marked by two events. First, an awful decision by the linesman taking away a perfectly fine goal took the wind out of Diaby and the whole team, and gave Sunderland the morale booster they sorely needed, and exploited. It was threatening to be very one-sided otherwise.

Second, Diaby was substituted with Theo Walcott. Suddenly, Arsenal played a different game. The slow but ominous build-ups in the 1st half was replaced by a show of pacy individual movement and passes that extended longer distances. After that the winning goal was inevitable as Arsenal always looked to score.

Can you not...
It's really lame, as it doesnt mean anything...
Would be more responsive if you would do the 1-10 system, as the smileys dont mean too much to anyone else.
:D :) :(  :? 8)) :x :p :eek:ops:   :!: :?:

Are you adding 2 to every score.

And to think Clichy was as good as Fab or that Flamini was better is just plain wrong.

Walcott had a confidence boosting game.....He played well for 33 minutes with a goof or two.....Showed that his pace could put Sunderland at a disadvantage.....Nice assist....Didn't think about it........But does this merit a 10?

Pretty poor performance once we went up 2-0 but AW righted the ship and we got the winner. Standouts: RVP, Hleb (I still think he needs to shoot more) and walcott (best game so far, made better decisions). standins: our entire backline including Almunia.
