This game was perfect. Tough ugly victories are essential if you want to win trophies. Team showed a lot of character to keep it together after falling behind so early.

Özil is taking his game to another level.

Shades of Arsenal of the past with the oceans of space the Ludogorets players had on the break.

The forward players (minus Sanchez) were good, but the shape of the midfield and defence was disgusting.

Sanchez must have had the tax thing in his mind tonight. He looked distracted and crap.

Crazy game.

Thought the ref was shocking, people falling over everywhere and getting free kicks.

Gibbs and jenkinson were not great, they did have a lack of cover but they really struggled tonight.

We didnt look great with rambo and giroud, we looked flat. a huge contrast to how dynamic we have looked without those 2 players.

Happy with the win but we need to make a huge improvement for the weekend.

This team looks to have a steel backbone at last - finding ways to win when it counts.

Not worried about our attacking performance at all and Özil's goal was sublime. Would prefer to never see a defensive performance like that first 15 minutes ever again though. Need to stay focused in games such as this.

Our commitment to getting back in the game was first class.

Arsenal Quotes

I often relive those 49 undefeated matches. I do believe in signs to a certain extent, and as I was born in 1949, I sometimes tell myself it was our destiny to lose the 50th. Those 49 matches are etched within me and within each player: it is something fundamental, a triumph born out of passion.
