We can't afford to fall further behind United before we play them on the 13th. This game is pretty much a must win, and considering Fulham's form currently, it would be a crime if we didn't get the 3 points on Saturday.

Good team.

Maybe give Robin a little more time to recover and start Rosicky, but overall I'd go with that team as well.

Fulham are bobbins away and don't like to attack. We should win comfortably.

Same XI as against villa?

Is RVP ready to play that Cesc role in an important League game-not totally convinced as yet. I would play Tomas in the role in the hole and use RVP as a sub.

RVP had exactly 0, zero, attempted shots against a dire Wigan side the other night. He is nowhere near ready to start for us.

Why are you using the amount of shots he had as an indicator of whether he is ready to start or not? I'd put the amount of shots he had down to how unselfish he was.

Understand what you are saying Mak but no shots is a sign he ain't fit yet . Bloke of his ability can't go a game without having a shot .

Happens to Robin quite a lot, when he plays deeper anyway. Defenders down the years have worked out that from the edge of the box he really only has a left foot, and so he rarely manages to work the ball onto that side without the defender reading it.

One of the things that explains how a guy with one of the best left foots in the business hasn't scored a goal from outside the box in god knows how long.

He has scored some pretty darn good goals with his "chocolate peg". He has a great sharp turn and dummy and can deliver with his right as seen against the Spuds. But yes he's a leftie through & through! Mind you so is Lionel and no matter what they do he manages to wave that magic wand.

Many of our players seem to suffer from the lack of shots syndrome. Chamakh, Nasri, Arshavin, van Persie and co. only seem to ever manage 3-4 shots at most per game, and that's pushing it. I remember games where Chamakh had only managed 1 shot throughout the entire 90 minutes. I'm not sure why that is, to be honest.

Well, usually our opponents have incredibly a lot of players around their box, so in most cases our long-shots would just bounce off someone. But yeah, we still overcook our attacks frequently.

Oh, he can finish with his right foot really well from close in, 20 yards out and he's only got one option if he wants to threaten the goal.

Hughes talking the talk...

"It's horses for courses and you work with the players that you have at any given time and what you feel can affect Arsenal's way of playing"

"Over the years I think I have done pretty well against them and I have caused them problems, cost them points and won in cup competitions and hopefully that will be the case at the weekend."

Looks like Fulham will be without Dembele and Zamora who are pretty much their main threats aswell as Salcido at the back, in comparison Eddie Johnson and Kamara don't have many goals between them.
Also Schwarzer, who we were linked to all summer and was one of the most frustrating transfer sagas in recent summers has signed a new deal with Fulham. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/f/fulham/9251601.stm he'll have a point to prove.

Hughes can dream on.

Fulham haven't won any PL away games this season.
In November they haven't won any PL games at all and have only managed to score a total of 3 goals (only 1 away from home).

A win for us is the only acceptable result here!

RVP is well capable of shots with his right boot outside of the box, it's just that he's never given opportunities to.

See his goal against City last season here at 0:26.

He's got a right foot it's just that he's not that type of striker to launch 25 yarders when he more often than not has better options.
