We can read whatever we like into it but it's games like tonight, under the lights away from home in midweek winter where you really find out what your team are made of.

Some of those players really REALLY want to win the league and some of them like the thought of it but don't like the effort, sacrifice and doing the ****ty bits that it takes to rise above the rest...and that is one of the main underlying characteristic of Emirates era Wenger. It's a horrible truth that rears its head every season. It's a notoriously tough and physical league, you cannot afford performances where you can't match the fight if you want to be lifting the trophy come May.

It still feels like we're missing that vocal leader. Alexis is kind of in the Henry mould of leadership wherein he is an example with his effort and the sheer number of goals and assists he puts up as well as the odd dirty look. You need the Vieira though, even if he's not the incredible talent that Paddy was. You need the guy who is going to get in faces and sort guys out when they're loafing about. Hell even that little twit Coleman was making his presence felt to his teammates tonight. I reckon Mustafi is that guy for us but there has to be someone else who can take up that mantle. We had a team full of leaders who could deputize for Paddy if needed when we were the best club in the country.

Our line-up today can do a lot of damage to City in current form.

Everyone who want to to change the whole line-up because of this loss need to look at recent results.

What failed today is we were to eager in the position 1-0. We were doing everything quickly. Instead of trying to go for the ball, Walcott should have closed Baines down and not give him space. But everyone was just speeding the game up.

We must now go to City with this line up and respond strongly!
walcott or ox have to make way for perez. hes been on the bench for too long and he is 28
Hard to see them getting through January, much less the season
call me crazy but ive looked at their squad and I think they can do it

Who even says, "Hey Özil, mark up on that physical beast Williams for me on corners will you?".

This in a nutshell is why we won't win the title.

Hard to work out from that clip, but pretty sure we do zonal marking.

Özil is only really in the box as an extra body, to help with the second ball. Williams was never his responsibility per se, which is both what you'd expect and what seems evident from his body language.

hopefully Wenger tow footed him when he exit from the press conference.
Wenger will be two footing a contract extension on massive wages while Koeman is two footing Sunderland to relegation next season. It will take until the final day of the season for them to go down because we'll gift them 6 points.

With no Giroud to bash, your posting has been way too sensible to my liking.
