If you're knit picking the squaddies

Turner isn't good enough with ball at feet. Needs to improve that for an Arteta side otherwise good back up.

Holding- We all know isn't up to scratch against a player like Haaland. Okay number 4/5 CB.

Tomi- Needs to burn off the ring rust and add a bit more dynamism going forward. Very one paced at times.

Lokonga- Just give up on him. It's not there.

Vieira- Needs to take the game by the scruff of the neck and not just be pretty.

Trossard- Settling in well. Looks a good player.

I'm being fairly critical but few of these guys look like staking a claim for a place in the starting 11, bar maybe Trossard.

I’ve been speaking about Lokonga’s poor off the ball movement and positioning all season, not surprised really.

Nuno has to be sold in the summer. I don't think his market value will ever be higher than right now. Keeping him would be such a Wenger move and then we sell him to some Bundesliga Team for 3m two years later.

Pretty sure Fabrizio said the club were open to loaning out Tavares but refused any permanent deal. They probably still see a place for him at the club.

Seem not happy we need to find solution the guy dont seem happy the moment we get midfielder either tell monaco to pay up or loan him
Well, he should be angry with himself... He has the tools to play good distribution ball but he doesn't give a shiiiit to defend. It's not that hard to put some effort and guts. If I train everyday I swear you I would enter that pitch a run with all my soul with courage to win a place. But he always runs like a princess that does not want to lose his breath.

Just need Nuno T to refine his game a bit more and that’ll be the end for Tierney.

Can’t wait to see him back at the carpet.
Wanna have that Tavares football IQ arguing for inverted LB role? ;)

What does it mean if I say Tierney doesn't have football IQ there either? Or the necessary skills.

If by some miracle Arteta could really drill a positional sense into him, he would be an interesting deputy for Zinchenko with his pace and technical ability.

We already have the alternative and Arteta doesn't use it. He instead insists in playing Tierney as inverted. He is not going to let Nuno play that way.

I’d rather keep Zinchenko/Tomiyasu as that option and throw Tavares on when we need a more attacking option from fullback on the bench.

Nuno T has all the tools to succeed here, it’ll be interesting to see if he finally manages to refine his game.

If there's such a thing as a tolerable loss, this was it. We fell off a bit in the second half but then did have a good spell late on. Disappointing goal to give away but a replay would have been horrific.

I preferred the first half when half our regulars shaded their best team but I was glad Partey went off. Not sure we needed to throw on Ode and Martinelli late on. Kind of takes the gloss over "we weren't playing our first team".

Overall a satisfying performance. People seem to have quickly forgotten we got stuffed 5-0 here last season and yet this Citeh were very wary of us throughout. They can consider themselves a tad lucky to win, we had the better chances.

It's because Zinchenko is whiter than Tierney... Pretty clear to me. Tavares is a runner.
