Sven should have been poaching players for us. Instead he's poaching from us  mavro also playing well there and will probably be off permanently.

If he’s dead set on going the best thing to do would be to let him go for cheap in January and put a buyback in the deal.

Surely you can only put a buy back in the deal of the player wants it. Balogun isn't showing much love for Arsenal like. Not getting those "Arsenal man through and through vibes" from him.

He has been with us since he’s 8 so there must be an attachment. He’s leaving to get playing time and I don’t think you can read anything more into it than that. He has Aubameyang, Lacazette (might leave soon), Nketiah and Martinelli all in front of him so obviously he doesn’t see any point in staying at the minute.

He's 19. What does he expect?

He's been offered a new contract with us and he has rejected it. That doesn't show attachment.

He could easily sign the contract and go on loan. But that doesn't seem what he wants. He also knows his next deal as a free transfer is likely to set him up for life regardless of how his career pans out.

What do you mean what does he expect? He thinks he’s good enough to be starting somewhere so is backing himself to move and play regularly. A 19 year old reserve moving on a free somewhere won’t be setting themselves up for life either. Do you think he’d be getting more money at Stuttgart than he would extending with us? Highly unlikely.

I mean he's 19 years old. How many 19 year old strikers are playing football in the PL? Very few.

If he signs the contract he has/had on the table he could have made an agreement to go on loan for one year. Pretty good plan. Sign a 3 year deal at us and we make a plan to loan him to the championship or overseas to develop. He loses nothing and he gains another contract at the club knowing that in a year or two there will be more space in the squad.

You say he wouldn't get more in Germany. Firstly Stuttgarts average weekly salary is around 20-25k a week. Now considering he is a free signing he would get more than that, just like Kolasinac did here. That could push it up to 30k a week. Plus a nice big fat signing on fee that would be much bigger than the fee he would get here for renewing.

That is probably more than he has on the table for Arsenal.

It seems very much that this is a player who is playing poker with the offer he has from Arsenal and what others are willing to offer him. Which shows 0 attachment to the club.

Absolute **** show from us. At least we have Martinelli though and he wouldn't be joining a rival.

Its disappointing to lose him on a free but its not exactly the end of the world. Even if we did keep him, we'd still be signing a first choice CF within the next year or two anyway. If all goes to plan and that player is a success, I don't really see a way into the first team for him anyway.

Sounds like he has signed a contract if we are planning on loan for 6 months?
