There something wrong if he not named in team of season guy been faultless him and Saliba should comfortably make it they on pace to concede only 30 goals in league or maybe less

I know he isn't that highly rated on here but VVD has also been unreal this season, when you watch Liverpool play the man is at time the only anchor point between the defense and Allison standing alone on the midfield line asked to stop counters. The job he's doing is ridiculous, especially considering the amount of attacks he has to deal because of Klopp's style of play. Not to mention he's the primary passing outlet from deep and vital to Liverpool's quick attacks.

Think TOTS will be one of Saliba/Gabriel and VVD.

It'll likely be Saliba/VVD pairing as Saliba has the better PR. Gabriel should absolutely be in the TOTS though. He could have scored a hattrick yesterday ffs.

Both our CB's are also very vocal with the players in front of them.

Gabriel has improved so much in the last 18 months.

Easy to talk, but he leads by example.

Gabriel at 26 and Saliba 22, in the former growing into peak years later still only going to get better fitness issues aside.

We have certainly got a top pair of CB's.

Romero-VVD is a very commanding paring, the play high-line football and move the ball from the back. Their full-backs both go very very up and we know how undisciplined Bissouma can be. So they have a mountain to climb. I really like what the Aussie is trying to do there, He built a team, was ruthless, and played his midfielders in Pape Sarr and Bissouma, he went for 2 very forward-thinking fullbacks and tried to play very attacking-minded football. He basically does what Emeri wants to do but we have enough balls to do it with 2 at the back instead of 3. He took over when Sp**s lost 30-35 goals a seasoned player and he coped like a boss.

congrats to him.

Their age difference 3 years and 3 months. Saliba just turned 23 years old.

Imagine if Arsenal buys Diomande, who is just 20 years old CB. Kiwior just turned 24 years old.

Arsenal wouldn't likely need to buy a CB for like 7 years.

Well he had two brain fart moments today.
First goal had to be calm or just clear the ball.
Second the Raya pass handball, this was so crazy that even the referee couldn't comprehend.

Sadly he will always have this brainfart moments in his game

Poor game. His fault more for the first goal he just panicked, reminiscent of his past bozo moments and the penalty is really bad. Glad the ref overlooked it as a kid's mistake

He was nervous it's just unbelievable how him and Saliba look different guys in CL. Still done well against Kane because Kane didn't enter our box

But cut out these nervous panic moments Nobody expect us to win this competition so calm down and do what you usually does

His fault for first goal? Not sure about that. He recovered the ball and intended to pass back to keeper, but Raya was right next to him at the half line.

Then he improvises and passes to Kwior, who looked like a statue and couldn’t adjust to a barely errant pass. He let Gabriel down in that moment.

Lots of people at fault, but I wouldn’t put much on Gabriel.

The first goal was definitely Raya fault.

But the penalty incident... seriously what was he doing?
