it's surely just as likely that one of the potential managers we could sign, and who decides to stay where he is at the moment, will fail and be only too glad to be rescued if Arteta fails

It's absolutely not. If we're going into statistics, we're missing a lot of the factors other managers have, which Arteta doesn't, which automatically lessens his probability to succeed/heightens his probability to fail. We don't even need to go into statistics. A manager with experience and a proven track record who's shown what he's capable of doing is surely not as prone to fail as an absolute wildcard - at least from the current perspective, as no one can base anything about Arteta on anything.

I'm seriously baffled by the amount of people who think Arsenal is a fitting testing facility for wannabe managers.

I think it’s nice but a bit sterile, doesn’t feel like a community. Just a collection of beautiful and glamorous buildings.

They've got nice spots, but I can't come to like the sheer amount of 80s brutality sky scrapers and panel system buildings they have. Looks like a **** sub urban area of a metropole at times.

Ever find it weird how dead most of the streets are apart from around the casino and harbour?

Yeah, been there only two times. Almost 10 years ago and then 2 years ago. But I remember that. Walking down from that train station in the mountain to the city it felt like no one was there. Maybe everyone was working, can't remember what day it was, cause I was most likely still drunk or at least highly hung over. Second time it was similar. I also remember looking for a place to eat for hours. Could barely find a place to have a snack or a common price restaurant at all, especially if you ventured off the Marina area - and not for the price range, but cause there were none.

Oh f*ck I forgot about getting food there. I had a feeling because it’s a tax haven no one actually lives there. Whenever I’ve been, there’s no one there at all.

fail at the club they choose to stay at, is what I was saying

and don't you think some candidates might not be too keen to follow a man like Arsène, and would prefer to wait until an unproven successor fails

Still find it amazing how much that Harry Potter plug kid has really put himself out there to claim allegri will be manager. If it doesn't have happen he's going to be destroyed. Can't wait to see how he'll try and worm his way out of it.
Although I've come to somewhat accept it will be arteta I still feel Allegri isnt over. Even despite that quote on BeIn sports

Yeah, right. And it's not cause there's one at every corner and they're just overprized, there's just virtually none of them. Same goes for supermarkets or corner stores.

Oh, sorry, I kinda got that while reading but then missed it while writing.
Still, Allegri, Jardim, Nagelsmann...etc...they're safe at their current jobs. Which might be reason they won't join Arsenal.

And that's just cowardice. Some people might call it reason, I say it's cowardice. You can take over Arsenal, succeed Wenger, carry on his legacy and on top of that have the chance to actually climb the table while dealing with Gaz, the american boys and a limited budget...dream job. If you fail, you fail. Gamble taken. If not, you just entered the pantheon of great contemporary managers. It's a much bigger play for the club than it is for you. Disclaimer: That's a personal viewpoint.

Arsenal Quotes

I've got the best goalkeeper and the best centre half. All I need are the best wingers and the best forward. It doesnt matter what the rest are like.
