Always hated FFP even if City win this one atleast they are not ring-fenced at the top just because of right place right time. If they can buy the best players & success let other teams a few years later.

If UEFA want a more balanced competition need to go the wage budget route but really the horse bolted & gone.

imo the only way to have a balanced competition is to go to the closed league road, like in American sports, which comes with its own issues.

I'm losing more and more interest into football because the competition is basically dead in most leagues. Smaller clubs have no room from improvement even if they work great, an oil club or super club will buy all their best players, they have no way to avoid that, and then they have to start from scratch, and with the money from their sales they can't attract similar players to the one they've just sold.

The former Chief Financial Officer of the German Football League has this to say

Christian Müller said:
I heard "from UEFA or European football in Nyon," that "an unbelievably high pressure has been built up by Manchester City and that the lawyers have acted aggressively, armed to the teeth". There were "intimidation attempts",

Now I don't want to be all ITK, as everyone involved in football here ( Zürich ) heard that as well.
Lawyers are one thing ( and they are, by definition, arseholes ) but "intimidation attempts" goes way beyond what these ****ing parasites should be allowed to do, but again, the Law is an Ass.

"Pep" taking a selfie celebrating his Victory? He's in the business too, may they all rot.

they don't know it now, but UEFA is killing football with this inaction.

Less and less fun to follow the leagues now.

Yes and no.
UEFA is itself only trying to safeguard the interests of the football clubs that are rich and powerful and on their side.
UEFA bribes English Clubs to play in the Europa League quite openly, because without these bribes they wouldn't play, and then nobody would watch their ****ty cup competition.
UEFA also keep changing the format of the Champions League, so that they can profit.

Money is killing football. Jimmy Hill killed football. Bosman killed football.

Sir Henry Norris killed football?

With how we perform, wee still would've been in the Championship if not for him.

But you're partly right, as football has become a spectacle now, more than sport. Just like what the IPL has done to cricket, football is now a plaground for betting companies, and money launderers.

I think 20 years down the line, we will look back at how UEFA has inactively let football devolve into farce:

5 subs allowed is ridiculous and unfair
TV money directly going to the clubs?
No doping mechanism to speak of
No regulation of the betting industry

Maybe UEFA should give each club a list of the rules and regulations with a price list alongside, save any future confusion.

Joke. That means we'll again see a crazy transfer window from them inflating prices and distorting the market again. What's the point of having these regulatory bodies honestly.

That's three monumental mountains to get close to again for us with the clubs below constantly improving while 4th and 5th would be our level unless something major happens going our way.

UEFA needs to bin CAS. They keep overturning something like 90% of UEFA's decisions.

Just imaging the Saudis, Qataris and this lot in the Premier League

Arsenal Quotes

An Arsenal fan, when you finish fourth, will say, “Hey, we’ve been in the top four for twenty years. We want to win the league!”. They don’t care that Manchester City or Chelsea have spent 300 or 400 million euros. They just want to beat them.
But if you finish fifteenth two years running, they will be happy if you finish fourth after that.
