Turner for Ramsdale sub for pens is a great idea. Turner has a real chip on his shoulder that serves him well as a GK in those situations.

However, Turner has nowhere near Ramsdale's skill with the ball at his feet, though he is an improvement from past US keepers in that respect, especially after his time at Arsenal.

He's not going to replace Ramsdale in the starting 11 any time soon. Hope he gets a lot of games in the cups this year though. Last year was a real disappointment in that regard.

48 percent is literally ridiculous.

If I was starting keeper and we needed this specialist, I would bring him on myself.

If he was any good on the ball Ramsdale would be sweating probably. He’s not bad at shot stopping and pens he’s obviously clear.

Claiming corners I’m not sure, can’t recall being impressed in Europa but someone who watches the US NT can correct me.

Marseillaise
Was waiting for one of the nerds to take the bait

Imagine Ramsdale in a Marseille derby though. Winding up the crowd, expecting banter like with that Spursy beatle looking lad, but instead witnessing the banlieu section behind the goal collapse the fences and storm the pitch.

He does a nice job on corners with the USMNT, but he did have a shocking match against Sporting on that front. His issues are all having the ball at his feet. He’s definitely improved at Arsenal but it will always be his weakness.

This is what made me not rate that aspect of his game, but thanks for the insight. I don't hear his US fans complaining about it which made me not write it off completely.

That's because we have 50 other issues to worry about. Every WC cycle we go through some spectacle of finding a coach. Not one who's accomplished or anything like that - just finding a guy who can wear a tracksuit and blow a whistle.

Arsenal Quotes

The club changed so much, I changed with it and football has changed with us... But one thing never changes: the 90 minutes still belong to the player, 90 minutes during which he is king.
