What a man! He started his speech by wishing Fergie a speedy recovery. He thanked us for having him at the club for so long. The mic broke but he urged us to hold dear the values of the club. He also asked the fans to support the staff who were staying and this current group of players. He said he was an Arsenal fan and ended by saying see you soon. Well done, thank you and goodbye. It was a short speech but not self centred at all.
Massive thanks to Bob Wilson for a beautiful speech introducing the goodbye and Pat Rice presented the gold Invincibles trophy. Wenger gave away his tie to a young fan and picked up a banner. It was all very fitting-apart from the absence of a big trophy. Well done to the fans the majority of whom stayed to the end.

Merci for everything.

Hopefully the boss will enjoy a long, well-deserved holiday and then has one more trick up his sleeve managing his homeland.

“In the stands, there was none of the divisiveness that has soured so many games at the Emirates this season, with fans and players alike united in appreciation of Wenger now the change many craved is imminent.” -BBC Football

Unfortunately that was why he had to leave. Fans both United and divided in support of the clubs greatest manager. He has given the best part of his life for the best of the Club’s.

A true gent, a true great.

Wenger is Arteta Out.

In the first tweet he's basically saying he couldn't get enough out of the talent he had at his disposal. Which is basically what I've been saying for the last 5 seasons. Felt we should've won the league in 13-14 and 15-16 atleast.

Was happy to see so many people stay for the speech etc. The only thing that ever made people dislike Wenger was his poor results in recent years, I don't think anyone ever questioned his character. Always seemed friendly and approachable to fans, and 99% of players that've played for him only have positive things to say. When the harshest critique people can throw against you is stubbornness, you're probably doing okay.

It's a shame he didn't do this two years ago, but it is what it is. You can already clearly see the attitude towards him turning for the better from the majority of the Wenger Out crowd which shows he'll be remembered fondly, as he should.

Great man, synonymous with Arsenal and a big part of why I like the club in the first place.

Arsenal Quotes

When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.
